The following scam has been reported: Click here to read more about these kind of scams. Remember: DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.This username has been disabled. -
Unfortunately, it's out of our hands at this point. But still being worked on. Just to explain again what happens when this occurs. Hackers take control of an email account and send out spam through our IP. This spam then triggers a blacklisting of our IP on mailing sites. We then need to go through the process of reaching out to these services and going through the application process of removing our IP from the block list. We've submitted our requests and are waiting on response from the final blacklist. We've noticed that Microsoft are extremely aggressive with blacklisting, and thus Hotmail accounts are most often affected. Gmail seems to be affected the least out of public accounts.

We've identified the issue (same as before). And we're working on getting things resolved again. Should be a couple more days.

Good day! You may have seen us discussing our ongoing redesign of dropzone.com We're aware that times have changed since our last website update, and as such we've been working hard for the past 18 months or so on developing the new face of the site. But what we need now, is your help! We're beginning to reach the end stages, and would love to get some of the frequent, long time members on the site to come and visit what we're working on and to give us some feedback and do some testing. While we've done this extensively ourselves, having outside input can be extremely useful and we'd love to hear your thoughts on what you feel is lacking or what you like about our new design. If you're active on any section of the website, and have been a long time member who is keen to see what the site holds going forward, and wish to assist us in ensuring we can provide the best possible website for you guys. Please drop me a PM and we'll get you set up with access and some info on how you can assist :) Thanks! And we hope you're as excited as we are.

Has this returned? We identified the problem a month or two ago and resolved it. But if there's a case again of notifications not being received, we may need to investigate again and see if the same issue has occurred. Thanks!

We hear you loud and clearly, and this is something we've been working on for a while now. With over 4 million posts and a fairly large selection of content on the site, it hasn't been easy. But it is coming... Attached are some screenshots of what we're working on, both desktop view and mobile view.

Hey, We've discontinued the premier membership program, as we're currently moving the site over to a new platform. In this time we're reevaluating the premier system and whether it is still the best option. We may be adjusting the current live site to provide premier features to all users within the next couple weeks. We'll keep you updated with that move.

Thanks for letting us know, we'll reach out to our hosts and ask for a status on the email service. It's unusual, because we just resolved this problem recently. So may be another bug that is causing it.

Unfortunately the member who used to maintain this database wasn't able to dedicate the time to it anymore. But it is something we'll be sorting out in the near future again, by cataloging everything that has occurred since it has been neglected. In the same breath, if anyone reading this would be interested in becoming an editor of that section, please drop me a message to discuss.

Over the past couple of months we've been dealing with some issues related to user email notifications, where newly registered users were not receiving their verification email when with certain email providers (hotmail, yahoo, aol etc) This issue extended to forum subscriptions and other features. If you received a mass of emails in the past 24 hours from us, we apologies for the flood, but this is due to the problem now being resolved (an issue related to DNS resolve in the email system). So if you were having issues with notifications being delivered to your mail box, this problem should now be resolved :)

Dropzone directory -- add seasonal info
Meso replied to bibliwho's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
Thanks for the feedback. We offer a description area for each dropzone, where they can enter this kind of information in. However, the idea of possibly creating a separate field for this information is not a bad one. We're busy redesigning the site, and we'll look into this option for the new release. -
Are you perhaps using a hotmail email account on your profile? We have a lot of issues with hotmail accounts, with them deeming our emails spam and filtering many of them.

Put up a damn picture of something fun you've been doing

Went through to the farmlands nearby to out offices here on the weekend (45 min drive), the Canolas were blooming, which offers a pretty different visual appearance on the landscape. -
This problem should now be resolved, please let me know if you encounter any issues relating to mail delivery.

Hey guys, We've noticed that there are errors relating to the mail servers, and that users are not receiving mail, and classifieds contacts are not going through correctly. We're working with our hosts to resolve this as soon as possible, will give you an update soon, hopefully we can have it resolved in the next few hours.

Yeah, it was all to do with a certain individual who has created no less than 200 different usernames in order to try access the site and evade bans. Just to quantify the amount of time that he has wasted on his attempts, and the clearly evident lack of 'life' that must be associated with having such time... That is over 200 registered email addresses too. As well as the use of various VPNs, Proxies etc. Needless to say, it's a lot quicker for us to kick his ass out of here each time than it is for him to try get in.

Something like that... If being man down from severe tick bite fever counts ;) But I should be back up and fully operational by Monday to take care of any delays that may have been created :p
-
Sorry for the delayed response to this. Thank you for the list, and making things easier for us. I'll be sure to add them within the next few days :)

Could you explain a bit more what it is you're looking for? :) Are you looking for an indication that a thread has new posts (which we have) or are you looking for a section to go to where it displays all the new posts separately?

This user had a Talo rig up for sale which a user attempted to buy. Upon request, they ordered a wire transfer be sent to a Wells Fargo bank account in Georgia, United States. The user never received the rig. Upon investigation, we found that the IP addressed used by the user, traced back to an Indian internet service provider. We have disabled the username. -
Thanks for the post, we weren't aware that it was giving these errors, I use Firefox and Chrome and haven't had that occur. The reason, historically for the lack of https security has been that we don't store any financial information on the site. Https is generally used on sites that have things like credit cards linked to user accounts, which then gives hackers an incentive to try and take over accounts. Since we've run our premium membership through a third party site, we didn't have to worry about that vulnerability. The certificate expiration we weren't aware of either. With that said, we've inquired with our hosts now about adding such services to the site. And will let you know what happens, even if there isn't the direct financial risk, we obviously would want our users to feel like their accounts are safe. And ensuring that it runs on every device/browser equally.
