Painting a Factory Diver helmet...Any problems?
Shepp replied to jumpjim's topic in Gear and Rigging
Krylon 'Fusion' spray paint is made specifically for plastics - it chemically bonds to the plastic; however, given that it is a spray paint, it may not be the best choice. I'd say anything other than a solid color or a simple pattern would probably be best left to a professional. Just my 2 cents... Good luck! Lingo! I used to be a full-time telecommuter, so I have tried them all - Vonage, Skype (I really hated skype, I cannot even tell you how awful the sound quality and delay were, even over a 12MBit business-class connection), Comcast, etc. Lingo has been the cheapest ($22/month) and absolute best quality. VERY easy to use - you just plug a little box into your cable modem and a real phone plugs into that. You don't have to have the computer on at all to use the phone, which for me was a big deal. I had to read The Bean Trees in high school, and I ended up liking it so much, I read everything she ever wrote. In my personal opinion, her fiction is better than non, but both have a quality to them that makes them a pleasure to read. I understood what you meant - my reply just was not very clear (I agree). Sorry! Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Unless you move up to the crazy-expensive category (like $5000 and up), that is true. My roommate has a 52" Samsung plasma ($1700) that outperforms some of the $4000-$5000 LCDs he looked at. And believe me... he spent 3 MONTHS sitting in Best Buy watching two tv's side-by-side Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. Urine? No. Vinegar? Yes. Vinegar will deactivate any remaining nematocysts (stinging cells) on your skin or fragment of a tentacle stuck to your skin. Urinating on the nematocysts will not deactivate them - on the contrary, it will probably stimulate them enough to make them fire their barbs, injecting even more venom. edit to add: if you get stung by a Portuguese Man O' War, you're just fucked - even vinegar won't help you there! I looked at it in every possible rotation, including mirror flips (thinking it might be a stamp or die of some sort), but I get nothing. I think AKCrash is on the right track - that it may be non-english/non-latin-alphabet in nature. My first guesses would be Arabic or a stylized asiatic script. Chris - Can I offer a word of advice? Today I celebrate 1 month being smoke-free thanks to Chantix, and these are some things that helped me immensely: 1. Finish the smokes you've got (or better yet, pitch them in the garbage) and stop buying "emergency" packs to stash 2. Throw away ALL of your lighters AND matches 3. Throw away your ashtrays or butt cans (mine was a flower pot on my porch) 4. Steer clear of your friends who smoke and the PLACES you smoke frequently for a few days, maybe a few weeks 5. If you are like I was, you smoke in the car. Start driving with your windows UP and the A/C running instead. Basically, try to make smokes an "out of sight, out of mind, out of your life" thing. Become a person who doesn't smoke - rather than a smoker who is trying to quit. Making your mind believe that is the hardest part!! Good luck Chris - feel free to PM me if you want to talk about about Chantix, smoking, or whatever. -Shepp Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. By my logic, I think that would probably reduce your mileage if anything. By cracking your windows, you alter the intended aerodynamics of the vehicle and add drag. Chris, the ruggedized Neptune is available to the public, but the price is almost 700USD... Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned. -
Forgive the noob for asking - and not to hijack the thread - but can you explain what you mean by that and/or technique? As soon as I got out of the door, I flipped over on my back, held my altimeter out to keep it out of my burble, and just rode it all the way down to 5,5. MUCH more comfortable

0:8: First jump in rain - OUCH. It wasn't raining on the ground and we had a 12K ceiling, but it sure as hell was raining up at 10,5 - which I discovered the instant I stuck my head out to check the spot Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward. Not to mention smelling like one! I'm getting more of my sense of smell back as the days tick by, and my still-smoking co-workers smell terrible when they come back from a break. Day 11 for me, and I have absolutely no desire to smoke. This is my second round with Chantix - gave up early the first time. If I don't eat before I take it, I get a bit nauseated for a while, but other than that I am sleeping fine and my friends don't seem to think I'm acting weird.
