Norinco = good. SKS = handy for walking in the woods and other stuff. The 7.62x39 is a fine round for short to medium range. The weapon is accurate enough for most stuff you wll do. The only thing you have to be careful of is that you have to put the bolt and gas tube together and compress the spring in the bolt; hold the two together as you slide them into the receiver. Actually, that's a pretty good question. I know the situation has cropped up more than once. At one time, there was some legal momentum for the idea that it was lawful to resist arrest if you knew the arrest to be unlawful. I didn't keep track of where that went. I would think that, in general, you could use lethal force when reasonably in fear for the life or severe physical injury for you or another. That's the rule in self defense. I don't know if anyone else could try to compete. Assured delivery to every household is the problem. Sure, if people would all use centrally located PO Boxes, it would be great. But going door to door is expensive. I agree on the price of a letter. I would easily pay a dollar per envelope and still consider it a good deal. A huge percentage of the cops I served with didn't need to be running around with a weapon. The difference between police and criminals is not as wide or firm as many would like to believe.
