Over 5,000 people have died of ebola this year. In 2012, the WHO estimates over 627,000 people died of malaria. Context would suggest there was something to this hysteria other than the number of deaths. Just an observation. David I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Thanks. I wondered how far he rode the canopy. Is it wrong that my first thought when I heard about this was to wonder if he set a new skydiving record? I bought mine used. It needed new risers. The factory was communicative, helpful, and quick. They also helped me with canopy size selection. The rig is the most comfortable I have used. It was one of the few times I didn't think about comfort during my time under canopy. I've had plenty of times when I couldn't wait to land to relieve the pain the rig was inflicting on me. I have no idea what the design differences are. I haven't placed this rig beside another to analyze it. I'm sure the designers have. It packs just like any other rig. All flaps are stiff and manageable like they should be. I really don't understand why someone would pay so much more for a different container when this one is so good and reasonably priced. David

With the military discount they offer, I couldn't even get a well used canopy at the price they offer for a new one. Red was perfectly reasonably communicative via email. It sometimes took a couple of day to get a response, but I consider that reasonable when ordering a product that takes a while for decisions, production, and shipping. Their reported manufacturing time of six weeks was only two for me. I was pleasantly surprised. I took a stock (yellow) reserve to save production time. If my reserve is out, I don't care what color it is. Yellow lets people know there was a problem anyhow. Shipping was fast. The colors were what I wanted. I took the canopies and container to my local DZ (France) and had the rigger put it all together with a new Vigil 2 he sold me. Then, I paid someone else to pack it. I learned some nifty new cuss words in French. Wings says a 210 will fit in a W-22, and it will...but apparently it takes some cussing to grease the fit. That's why I paid someone else. The next pack went better. Not the canopy's fault. Just a tight fit. The first opening was looong and incredibly soft. I don't think I've every had an opening that soft before. The left end cell seemed to be the last part to inflate and I was a bit concerned it wouldn't do it, but it did. Handling was great. Turns were responsive, but overly so. Flare seemed really good in the air. I did some 360's and S turns. Everything checked out nicely. In a 14mph wind, I was barely making headway on final. The flare was predictable and strong. I only used about half the toggles to set down to a perfect landing. The canopy didn't fight me in the wind after landing. The second jump was about like the first. Soft opening on heading. Predictable response and flare. It's not sporty, but it is a good canopy for a newer jumper (57 jumps to date). David

Not Sun Tzu or Clausewitz to my memory. I've studied Patton pretty well, and that doesn't sound like him either. Definitely not Musashi. Sorry. Someone is going to make that into a tatoo.... I voted for you. Very creative. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. -
It's hard to concentrate on enjoying yourself when you are concerned your swim trunks are going to slip off your ankle and get away from you...but still worth it. If you are worried about the infection, just have a repeat in the pool. The chlorine should clean you up. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. There are no more perfectly good boats than there are perfectly good airplanes. I've also been playing with my new rifle and fixed up the carry case for my target pistol. :-) I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. If you guys have reached a pause in lusting over the celibate woman (I know you will not stop; a pause is all I hoped for), I am responding to the actual thread topic. I know this is DZ heresy, but I'm that kind of guy. Customized the grip on my target pistol. Made a monekyfist pullout for my rig so all my colors match. David I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. -

I like it! Made a monkey fist pullout for my rig so the colors all match. Made a hand sling and a shoulder sling for both of my bows. It's popular with the Jeep Wrangler crowd. I covered my hinges in a contrasting color to my Jeep. One guy reported it took 13 cans to completely coat his Jeep. He can go offroad all he wants and peel it off to reveal a fresh paintjob when he goes to sell it. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. Men: I Love You But Sometimes I Just Don't Get You

I never test. I am sometimes in an off mood, but I know it and I'll tell you. My mood doesn't dictate my behavior. But I think it might be a learned thing. I don't think I was always that way. I am limiting my throwing. I am looking for a round from a local logger. I don't care much for damaging trees. I found some likely targets yesterday, but the guys who have been cutting weren't there, so I have to go back today. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. The weather has been crap for jumping. So, I've been finding old hobbies that needed some attention. Found my throwing knives. Use a product called Instamorph to customize the grip on my target pistol. Made a wrist sling for my bow from paracord. Clouds and wind are bad again today. Probably going to the pool to work on apnea and maybe weave a shoulder sling for my bow out of paracord. Probably do some target shooting or practice archery. .................................. We discuss a subject until we agree on a course of action or best business practice. Where's the step where some people start insulting the intelligence of other people for the crime of not agreeing with the name caller's opinion? I'm pretty sure it's mandatory. At least, my observations of normal conduct herein suggests it is mandatory. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. Got the bow sighted in at 40M. Got a new 10M Match Air Pistol (Feinwerkbau 100) and got some practice in. Got a new 10M Match Air Rifle (Anschutz 2002), refinished the stock, added sight risers, fitted it to a case, practiced. Got another 10M Match Air Pistol (Anschutz LP@) yesterday (center). I like Jerry's point. She found humor in everything...including her own faults. How can you be any more unbiased? Tasteless sometimes...maybe often. But hardly mean spirited. For some reason, I find a thread of humor in most any situation. Perhaps that is why I am ok with her attempts to do so. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. So you are perfectly fine for it to be very illegal for a 9 year old to see a breast not belonging to their mother, but pefectly legal to hand them a fully automatic firearm. Read my post again when you get your sense of humor back. I was just teasing Jerry about posting a picture of his wife's breasts. I am ambivalent about breast feeding in public. I think is it asinine to try to reduce everything to legal vs illegal. Things are wrong, stupid, ill-advised long before society should be willing to lock you up for it. A 9 year old could fire a crew served automatic weapon safely. An automatic pistol, however, was a bad idea. Are you going to try to craft laws that define good ideas and bad ideas for every situation? Or, will go overboard and throw out any common sense by claiming anything that goes 'boom' is evil and can only be trusted to that pure, trustworthy, perfect organization of responsibility, valor, honesty, integrity, and virtue that is the government? Laws should be crafted to protect at the extremes. Only those actions that we are willing to lock people up to prevent should be at issue. If you try to make the law force someone else to live the way you want them to live, you are a tyrant. Moreover, you can expect the other person to gain power at some point and use the law for the same purpose and against your interests. In this case, the firearms instructor did something stupid and paid the price. The parents likely made a bad decision and have to help their child with the price she must pay. There is no way to legislate good decisions in every situation. There is no way to legislate good parenting decisions. Just because a firearm was involved in this situation does not change those basic premises. Pretending otherwise is a mistake in logic and will lead you to make legislation based on the feelings of the moment. You will be ill served by that legislation when the feelings change. Feelings do that, you know. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

"Jedi" has actually been the religious preferance on my Facebook account for years. If you run a search, you will find what appears to be an earnest effort toward this as a genuine religion. BTW...if it helps you understand at all...the Uzi, like most fully automatic weapons, has a tendency to track up and right when fired in automatic mode. Most diminutive people can resist the movement to the right, but not the upward movement. When I first watched the video, I was most concerned the girl was going to hit herself in the head with a rapidly recoiling weapon. The fact that it went left indicates that SHE turned it toward the instructor against it's nature. I don't think that makes it the girl's fault. It likely startled her into being unable to release the trigger and she was turning to the instructor for help. It isn't uncommon with new shooters. I place responsibility on the instrucotr and possibly on the parents. I'm just pointing out that one can hardly blame the weapon. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Jerry, I can't respond to your position without seeing your wife's breasts... This whole thread is silly. An instructor did something stupid. Dumb actions often come with bad consequences. I call it 'natural, logical consequences'. I'm sorry it happened. I am particularly sorry for the impact on that little girl. I question the decision of the parents, but don't have all the fact to say they were wrong (although the results are a strong indicator). None of this is relevant to the debate about firearms, the US Constitution, self-defense, defense of freedoms, etc. Someone handled a device in a less than prudent fashion and there were predictably negative consequences. If this guy had let a 9 year old girl drive a bull dozer and she ran over him, nobody would be discussing any of these issues. They would just recognize that getting close to a bull dozer operated by a 9 year old is a really bad idea. Oh, wait. There's video involved and it went viral. That makes it a relevant fact, right? I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
