I had no problem contacting them recently, they charge $65 to recertify reserves this includes shipping back to you. Don't send a real old one as they will not recertify no matter what. (I forget what the cut off date is)

The building is up and they are selling flight packages at the local costco.

If the image in the other thread is the one you are talking about it's a break and could have possibly been a failure on the next jump.

Best place to stay around Elsinore / Perris?
BigMark replied to RichyR's topic in Events & Places to Jump
The 15 mile area between the drop zones is pretty sparse by SoCal standards. So if you are trying to be centrally located that leaves Canyon Lake, for California standards not the best for bars and restaurants. You could airbnb there and use UBER and have a great time. -
Why not get the 308 and put an Optimum 143 reserve in? I really don't see the point in tiny reserves! How will you ever be Bobby Bitchen with that attitude?

Larry was a super cool dude and I never thought of him as handicapped.

Some of my most memorable jumps, the city lights and super smooth air were incredible, the guy who passed close to me going the wrong way under canopy less so. (we did turn some points though) Bad spot bills truck were the only lights.

How many Dropzones still have a DC3?
BigMark replied to propblast's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The good old DC 3, we would wait until a new pilot would get it trimmed out, then start moving slowly back and forth so he would have to correct it, then we would run back and forth while he frantically moved the trim wheel until he realized what we were doing and started doing G moves to get us back, great fun! At least one of the planes used for the first Perris 100 way was a DC 3, it had no rear door and they were jumping from 20,000 feet with no door on a cool day. -
Perfect ash dive! Fly free Bill...

The first self folding parachute.

If its a great deal get a bigger optimum and sell the 143, they sell very quickly.
-
Looks like he was getting ready for potatoe bridge.
-
The value of these will go up if the Jump Shack reserve pin puller gets popular, seems like they were made for each other.

"Acquired" image of me being used without permission
BigMark replied to airbigdaddy's topic in Photography and Video
They have invested a lot of money into using your image, seems like you should a least get a pair of shoes out of it. -
I got some gear that the guy used a soccer bag, the helmet goes in a zippered pocket where the ball normally would. Seemed to work O.K.
