  2. So it would appear:"Ahmed was arrested at Heathrow Airport in London on Sept. 7 after returning from Pakistan, where he had been held on suspicion of militancy... He was charged with directing activities of a terrorist organization, possession documents useful to terrorists and possession of a rucksack containing traces of explosives allegedly for terrorist purposes... He is accused of possessing quantities of potassium nitrate and calcium chloride, which he allegedly intended to use for terrorism... Potassium nitrate is a critical oxidising component of gunpowder... Videos including the devil's face made in smoke following the 9/11 attacks, beheadings and references to jihad were also allegedly found at the address..."Sources: http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5iSW7KQuv6_a97C19LOJKvg524ECw http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hBGtb-_f2Z1iD8MdPMo1hQsKd-1g http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/Yorkshire-teenager-in-court-on.3214623.jp At least his name wasn't Mohammad, but it was close. Some of you may have been a little quick to rush to judgment against the police. Would you prefer that they ignore all of these facts, do nothing, and wait for some bomb to explode and kill scores of innocent people? It's a bit like the gun argument.... you can give everybody guns because until they actually shoot somebody then they're not a threat.... just like you can allow people to have books telling you how to make bombs and also let them have the ingredients, until they actually make the bomb and kill people it's ok...... how about we try and stop people having the guns in the first place and also stop people from having the ingredients to make bombs instead of leaving it till it's too late and they have either shot somebody or made a bomb and blown some people up
  3. he's a weapons grade penis, end of story
  4. so, we bring in a law to stop school massacres, there are no more school massacres after we bring in the law....and it's still not a law that's working? how many guns shops do you think there are in England? I couldn't even tell you where there's one in my city...and i live in a big city, same with ranges...we just don't have many of them over here. As for massacres at police stations....genrally, we respect our unarmed police
  5. Yeah, like you don't know already. Her is a nice news article to help jog your memory http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/october/16/newsid_3110000/3110949.stm It' already been pointed out in one of John's previous "England bashing" threads that there have been no further massacres in England since the ban. It could therefore be argued that the "ban" was 100% effective in achieving its stated goal. Have a nice day. Vale 100% effective in regards to mass shootings...at least until the next one. Too bad it didn't have any effect on the everyday gun crime. Since our last mass shooting, how many have you had in the good old US of A ? Play the ball, not the player - what does that have to do with gun crime in England? LOL Ok, since our last mass shooting of little kids, we brought a law in banning hand guns.... we've had ZERO incidents of mass shootings of little kids since then..... you keep having mass shootings on school and university campuses and you have very liberal hand gun laws..... you're massacres keep on happening......so, our law seems to have worked in adressing the incident that made us bring it in.... while all the time you keep having school blood baths so, who's system seems to stop school blood baths?

  7. The correct spelling is "absolute". And if you're so worried about absolute numbers as the valid way to compare the UK and US, then you should also be concerned with the fact that the US has five times more population than the UK, and therefore absolute numbers are a meaningless comparison. That's why per capita rates are the valid way to go. And percentage changes in the per capita rate are just a reflection of the absolute numbers, and the direction in which they are changing. No matter how you cut it though, gun crime in England has gone up since the ban. Absolute numbers, per capita rate, and percentage. That's the ugly truth that you gun-o-phobes just can't bring yourselves to admit. But if we hadn't had the ban , they would have gone up by double the amount that they actually did, so the ban is working.... you prove me wrong
  8. No worry there, it seems the US have mislaid 190,000 guns in Iraq. Plenty to go round. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6933569.stm First of all the yanks give guns to the taliban in the 80's, now they're giving guns to the Iraqies.... you've got to love the yanks
  9. Overly aggressive when arresting the average motorist???? And just how many times have you been present to such displays of aggression? Throughout my life I've had numerous run-ins with cops - maybe 20 or so. I've been arrested a few times, mostly alcohol related offenses. I don't recall a single time where a cop was "overly aggressive". too pissed to remeber eh? you want to drink less youth
  10. I don't see anything wrong in prosecuting the twat
  11. er no !!! people from all over the world were killed in a local attack actually...
  12. He'd need to bring his gun with him, just incase he needs to kill an attacker how could he go out without it eh? what if...just what if !!!!!!!!
  13. After regularly seeing how yank cops are overly agressive when arresting the average motorist, then yeah i would think that they could easily kill somebody.... american cops seem to think they can be as agressive as they like if you don't immediately obey their every word (as if they're god or something) I'm sure Rodney King might have an opinion on yank cops too
