    Who gives a shit about attitude? I'd rather have an arrogant pilot with no fatalities than a by-the-book, "safety first" one that killed a planeload of people because of his mistake. Negative. When he was first approached and asked to stop doing it, he did. What rule was he intentionally violating anyway? What if Strong knew about it and didn't care? I think the punishment was way over the top. Did all the clamoring here on dizzie-dot-com have something to do with it? Maybe. If it did, I think that's wrong. It's a pretty small portion of the skydiving community represented here - it just happens to be the loudest. I do think his TI rating should get yanked for a year or two, but nothing else. Especially considering some of the other punishments (or lack of) that have been handed out. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

    Dear sunshine - Let's say you're at a party, and the same 3 or 4 people butt into every conversation and eventually exclude the original participants from it (including anyone else at the party who may have wanted to participate) and eventually turn it into a series of unrelated jabber and inside jokes - what is the socially correct way of dealing with this? We've tried avoiding their areas, but they seem to quickly get bored once everyone else has left the conversation and they're left on their own, so they move to the next active discussion. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

    So... I have another question: Do the people you block really have no other way of getting a hold of you? I just have a hard time grasping what someone could say to me to where I would block them... I think I'd probably enjoy the entertainment actually. Aside from the girls getting perverted PMs, blocking someone just seems like the Internet equivalent of covering your ears and screaming "I can't hear you! lalalalala!" Now being able to 'mute' someone on the forums - I'd love that. I think vBulletin can do it - when you add people to the mute list, their posts don't show up in threads you're viewing. Helps tune out the antagonists or the persistent chatters. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

    I'd love to hear some stories of why people get blocked. I can't imagine someone pissing me off so bad that I block them... unless they just spammed by inbox with like 40 messages or something. Hell, my last few PMs are from a Michigan fan and a Canadian! If someone sent me something really stupid, I'd probably laugh at them... and make it public so everyone could laugh at them. (yes, yes.. I know.. publishing PMs is bad juju and all that...) EDIT: I can understand the females getting tired of unwanted advances... but still... I think that falls into the "Send me another one like that, and it's going up in Bonfire" catagory it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
