He (Faust Vrancic) was Croatian scientist, inventor, writer, humanist, physicist etc. and he was one of the greatest Croatian minds ever. He among other science project published first ever printed scheme of parachute in his project Homo volans (Flying man) He tested successfully his parachute from some towers in Venice and from some cliffs in Hungary. I put ~30 jumps on Yugoslav copy (Kluz k1) of that Security Mini-Pig rig that can be seen on that page. And my first jumps was on rounds whit rig pretty much the same as the rig x-type that QuickDraw posted. Guess I'm a retro skydiver then. I'we found a pic of K1 on web so it is easy to see that is copy.

Can you pease explain the difference, english is not my first language. I always thought that when you say about canopy "It is easy to shut it down, that you meant on bottom end lift (that canopie has great bottom end lift). Guess that "shut it down" means different type of landing (like landings whit large 7cells)? Thanks I.P.

There is also a movie on headdown.net called "Of the mountains in to the valley" where Lukas, PerF,and Mick do a three way. You can see how efficient was his tracking. It is unbelievable. It is at 4min14s of the movie.

Here on my TV was some movie whit Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicolas Cage. There was a part in it whit Cage who by mistake took a plane ride whit Flying Elvis skydiving group. They where dressed like "The King" wearing white suits whit lights on it, and white rigs/parachutes, and did a night jump on some show. Actual skydiving (better say parachuting) in movie was pretty cool, but Cage closeup in FF was a crap. He pulled a red then yellow to open his parachute, and did a 30s FF from 3000ft. But...any skydiving on TV is always better than no skydiving.

Yes it is a Parafoil. We did that here in Croatia while practice for comp. We did not have glider tow, we where using a car and 1000ft rope.

There is a guy jumping a pants whit a small wing between his legs (but from crouch to knees) in this movie. It is after 57s of movie.
