Have you not seen some of the Fighters MacDonald has fought? Ed Herman, Chris Leben, Rich Franklin??? Okami? Fought Franklin and Swick and Singer....I think that MacDonald has fought more of the Cream of the Crop of that Division. Vera is going to take Sylvia Out....He is probably the next champion of the HW division. Franklin and Silva is going to be a good fight. I think Franklin under estimated Silva the first time, but will come prepared this time.
  2. I see your point PLFxpert...Im like that too. Its kind of like when the batteries go dead in the TV remote...You push harder but you know its not going to work!
  3. steer clear of east hastings....bad area
  4. Im with ya on this one. Also...When your shopping at a supermarket or wherever, granny walking in front of you decides to stop in the middle of the aisle and start looking around like someone who has ADD
  5. The pilot at my home DZ is good for watching for stuff like this. Pilot would bank the aircraft if she sees the person may hit the step.
  6. No problems for me. Hanging off the strut is fun....like your superman! Hanging there gives me time to think for a few seconds before I let go, so it helps me visualize...last jump yesterday was kind of chilly on the fingers though (stupid canadian fall weather)
  7. It was IAD. Landing was alright, tried to run it out, but ended up taking a dive LOL. Was on radio, so I was told when to flare. Did some spins and turns which was a pretty cool feeling.
  8. For me it was tough. Nervous as hell, I just said F*** it and let go of the strut (not that they would let me in anyways, there was only one way out). Once I was off the strut and under canopy right away, it was the best time of my life.
  9. Congrats! I know what it feels like cutting away on low jump numbers also.
  10. I had my first reserve last weekend on Jump 11. After speaking with DZ staff and instructors, I hopped on a load the next day. Was I nervous about it? Heck yes. But I knew that the gear (student manta) worked like a charm. All I can say is get back on the Horse. Blue skies to ya brother!
  11. 0-3-1 First reserve on Saturday
  12. Staff are excellent, training is top notch. Everyone knows everyone no matter how new you are. Found my new home away from home
  13. how about Rush - Far Cry? The lyrics seem to go with skydiving.
  14. Hey all, Im from Alberta Canada. New to the site, have 2 solo jumps under my belt. After the first one I have become somewhat more and more interested in the sport. Hoping the weather is nice this weekend to progress in my learning. -Jason
