Sweet. I did many fun jumps this weekend. No clouds though. We also generated 2 new licensed jumpers. That is except that my hand is cramped and I still need to sign their cards. I think cases of Newcastle should help it though. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

Bringing up my accident investigation past. If the seatbelt was connected and even came unlatched, there should have been abrasions on the shoulder, arm, abdomianl region, etc. If the latch broke, there may have aslo been extensive bruising in the shape of the seatbelt. Don't know if that helps. Maybe there are pictures or doctors or officers that remember. I am assuming that they are all better now and you can't see that stuff first hand anymore. Tracking (or Delta) has been taught to fix uncotrolled turns. However, it can be hard to determine what is causing the turn. It is possible to still have the turn and now you delta in a spiral turn or flip over. I like to teach know altidtude, arch (box) and relax, check arms, check legs. I compare it to riding a bicycle. If you start to fall right, you don't think lean left, you just do it. Relaxing will self correct many of the issues. Every situation is different and that is why we have instructors and coaches to watch and help. Some students have back problems, prior broken legs, hips, etc that may require them to have a not so symmetrical body position to compensate for a problem in order to burn a whole. The first thing to teach is altitude awareness in hopes that a student (or anyone) doesn't get so wrapped up in fixing the problem that they bust their planned deployment altitude. Does this help? Ask your examiner everything you can. Then ask some more. Once you start working with students, ask as many TI's as many questions as you can, then ask more. Just make sure they know it is a question rather than criticizing what they are doing. There are many techniques. I try to teack a lot of them and point out some concerns to look for, but I haven't seen everything. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

I am both and enjoyed both. I have much more experience jumping (depending on how you look at it). Actually I have more hours flying, but that is apples to oranges. The only down side is now I am even more nervous landing in a plane if I am not the one flying it, even if it is a plane I don't know how to fly.
