While giving an explanation, the expositor will typically discuss the different views about a particular set of verses and in many cases will actually introduce his own observations of subtle peculiarities found in that scripture in an attempt to satisfy any objection that might be posed by a sincere student. They never expect you to take their word for it, but provide substantial insight so that one can make an informed decision for practical aplication. According to what I've read/studied, I think the Antichrist will have have to be Jewish so that the Jews will be able to accept him as the messiah.
