At least Protestants, Catholics, Jehovah Witness', Mormons agree more than they disagree. You are missing the significance of the story...Abraham already had a direct, visible and audible relationship with God. God already told him that his offspring would be reckoned through Isaac, therefore there was no way Isaac could die. When Isaac asked Abraham "where is the lamb for the burnt offerring," He simply said "God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering....
