  1. I say right-on. If you can pull off something like that and get away with it then nice job. It's not easy for a first jump student to not look like a first jump student. Especially flying canopy and handling the gear and things like that. You obviously have the skillls to teach......I'm not saying it was the smartest thing in the world but...hey, It all worked out. I'll go skydiving with you and your buddy
  2. Flogging Molly is ska/punk...Like the Bosstones....yes that is an official genre.....Check out "Big D and The Kids Table" Awesome ska/punk from boston...and the Pie Tasters, Toasters, Planet Smashers, Catch 22.....but Big D is the best
  3. Are there are any collegiate teams looking for a video person for the collegiates???? I'm just looking for slots and I have experience, I'm free and looking for something to do if any-one needs it. P.M. me for more details
  4. You guys really suck.....whether this is a real thing or not...how the ?$#! do you know. She's not asking for money and she's not asking you to step away from your computer to put on hip waders and go trekking through the woods looking for some dead guy you may or may not find. I believe all she wants is ANYONE that MAY know ANYTHING to help her out and look at some photo's. That doesn't sound very difficult. How would you like it if you were trying to find out SOMETHING about WHATEVER and you went to the LARGEST source there is to find out ANY kind of information and some jerks told you to go sh....t in a hat. I'll help the lady. You idiots should grow up
  5. The day I jumped from uncle harvey's plane by a fella named roger miller. pretty skydiving realted and funny as hell MR. Blue Sky by the electric light orchestra. good tune
  6. If the students are really freaking out,(and really "cool")....I've heard people tell them right befor they get out....."just think of this like a b/j(oral)....you just relax and enjoy it and we'll take care of the rest" Always gets a good laugh but you have to be careful.
  7. i talked to him already...I was just looking for outside opinions on the DZ and town and stuff...Is the nearby town ok to go out in? What's the DZ vibe? Do people hang out after jumping or does everyone go home? stuff like that
  8. I use Mr. Blue Sky by Electric light orchestra a lot for the beginnings and people seem to like it. I'm really stuck with FF songs. I have a couple/few that I keep using, but I want to try a mix it up with diff stuff.....Great ideas so far....keep 'em coming
  9. Cool. I did a search and didn't find anything special. I'm looking for the not so cliche songs.....like postal service - "such great heights". If any one has anymore please let me know.
  10. I'm trying to expand my music collection....What are some songs that people use for tandem vids?????? Beginning/FF/ending. I have most of the "usual" ones, but I'm looking for new ideas. Any suggestions???????
  11. He's here in Miane. I see him everyday. I can give him a message if you want. MIke
  12. At first I was a little disappointed that there are no packers here sticking up for themselves. (I'm a long time packer) If it wasn't for us, you lazy bastards would have to pack for yourselves and give yourselves slammers and spinners worse. You wouldn't be able to go and socialize between loads and smoke butts and try to pick up the few girls that actually come to the DZ everyday. ........... but then I remebered that we usually have something fun and interesting to do after jumping rather then sit in our rooms on the computer blah, blah, blah-ing about a bad openings or line twists or whatever. Packers are the hardest working people on the DZ and they never get the credit that they deserve. Instead of trying to beat some sense into them....try buying us a coke or a red-bull or a water and don't take for granted that some poor skydiver is willing to bust his/her ass all day long to keep you jumping to make a few bucks so that they can EAT F**K and most importantly SKYDIVE. Bad openings happen....if you don't like it, pack for your self
  13. wax......it's the only way to go. Quick easy and really doesn't hurt......bonus....you only have to do it once a month
  14. Waxing is the way to go....for sure....back crack and sack. It sounds a little scary at first but.....it is so worth it. You only have to do it once a month and you don't get the stubble you get from shaving. It doesn't really hurt like you would think....I'd rather get stung by bees. And the more you do it and maintain it the less it hurts everytime. Highly recommend it. Saves the hassle of shaving everyfew days. And girl dig it too.
  15. Anyone know anything about the swoop meet last weekend? results or anything like that?
  16. Where are the packers? We always did better than the maintenance staff.
  17. anyone have an e-mail to send bird-man a note?
  18. I guess it wouldn't be trying to get free advertising if I told everybody about it. Would it?
  19. Hey gogol. I thought that this is the place where skydivers can come and share thoughts, ideas, cool places to go and new ones to check out, with one another. I understand the advert thing, but I really don't see the "commercial pushing" aspect of it. If he was trying to get a free ad then he probably would have typed a whole lot more in the message. Please, let me know if I missed something. Rock -on Clint. Place looks nice. I'll stop by on my way home.
  20. Anyone that is going to be in the New England area, be sure to come check out Skydive New England's Laborday weekend, Tiki-Bar party. Lots of skydiving as well as Bands, B-B-Q's, Pig roast, and the infamous activities around the Tiki-Bar. You have to see it to believe it. Beer is sponsored by the Red Hook Brewing company and papa smurf bringing the luge. Friday through monday.
