  8. any comments on the form from pictures IMG 2169 & IMG 2176? How do the turns look?
  9. You are so correct, but... As the group gets larger, one is turning/maneuvering, adjusting lesss frequently. (flying less) Yes there are exceptions. Some things can never be replaced by a tunnel, the exit, closing the vetical/horizontal seperation then "slamming" on the brakes to stop perfectly in ones slot. , getting a large group to fly vertically the same speed...
  10. We had a great ime at SVCO!.... the kids loved it , especially my daughter, makes ya want to do it all the time! We have been going once/twice a yr to SV (Orlando)... spending what we can...makes one lust for more precision flying. Bitter... yes (that we dont have one here in TX.
  11. I think ill withdraw 20 grand from the bank and take the my Michelle (11 yr old) to the next level. That should get around 20 hrs of time to start. In addition we should buy some world class coaching.
  12. I hope it pisses them off!! Well, at least one of them!! think it would piss em off if i asked 1/4th of em to get neked and post a pic??

  14. This picture was on wall at the local Chiles Restaurant in Katy, TX (HWY 99 just south of I-10) . Was curious if anyone knows them and who was the photographer. when was it taken? mm
  15. i cant imagine 90 mins,,,is that possible? i get worn out in 10 mins w/ 2.5 minites per interval.
  16. I worked there in the 90s. The only non commercial aircraft flying were Military. The only parachuting was done by the Military. Things may have changed there, but i doubt it.
  17. ........................ Things you don't get in a tunnel: ..................................... ive added my comments behind urs.... * Sunset in the distance .....(with a cold drink that was tucked into your jump suit..under canopy, last load of the day, open a bit high) * The cold crisp air..... (and very dense air to go with this) * The exit. .....(yes this is good!!!!!!! different aircrafs,,,different air) * The ability to dive to a formation and close 100 yards of distance...... (almost nothing better than shutting down the speed, hearing the air....and stopping perfectly at the formation!!!!,,,going from full throttle to full brakes,,, 180-100mph??) * The challenge of outfacing a formation and not having any other indicators in your peripheral vision to help you keep your slot. ......(yum....this was always my most challenging and desired!!! always dreamed of diving down....50 plus way then docking on a diamondlast in.....back in!!) Why is there a tear in my eye as i write this????? its all good...but the sky has left me.... only a memory away! Ill use the Tunnel to fill the void!
  18. do you ex skydivers use the tunnel? Just curious. when i get a chance to go into the tunnel, I try to hone my rw skills...but dont skydive. Not sure why....sure does feel good!!!!
  19. "so stupid as to take a 100-jump wonder on a Demo jump" Such strong words....and no mention of beer. --------------- Double Falcon 2?? (not listed on the USPA card anymore)

  21. In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- im thinking you should have asked him to do a Demo ...hired a plane and jumped off of the DZ... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Huh??? This is the most confusing response yet... If you dont like the rules.... get or hire your own plane. Disconnect yourself and anyone you know from USPA. Make up your own rules, jump at your favoriite landing area. Just be safe!
