I'm getting a new canopy with Vectran lines and I have been told by the DZ rigger that if I soak the lines with Sillicon spray, ( as in bunch / loop them together in a plastic bag and spray it in to the bag, therby coating all the strings and then leaving it to soak for 10 min) it will extend the life of the line set, especially if performed every 100 jumps or thereabout.
I'm just asking if anyone has heard of this method before, as I've not seen it mentioned anywhere.
Would it make a difference?
