I did an intentional breakaway for my tandem rating. Did it on a Strong "Tri-dem" rig, that had 3 squares on the back. It was way cool, wouldn't mind doing it again. A great experience and confidence builer. How do ya like it Johnny?

I find it hard to beleive that a skydiver, anyone who has experienced the thrill of free fall, can honestly say that they don''t beleive in God. I don't mean any God, I mean God the father who sent his son. For any body out there with these hypothetical situations, all I have to say is read it in the Bible, all the answers are there. This world has been around for a long time. It has just recently gotten pathetic. Now as much as I have enjoyed reading all these post, I will excuse myself, I am blowing off work to go jump the CC helicopter, that for today is at skydive Carolina. Congrats Tandem jumping...... Be proffesional. Be courteous. (You never know when you might get a $20 tip) Be careful what you say to the students. You never know their background or what they are into. Don't do acrobatic exits. If you have never seen the Strong Tandem Side Spin video you should(must) see it. If you like, I will send you a copy or order it through Strong enterprises. Be careful about being radical under canopy, Some students don't like it. It will make some students feel faint. You don't want an unconcious student. If a student starts to vomit, flying downwind works best. The cute small lightweight girls can often be your worst passengers. I hear Tandem instructors in particular saying how cool it is for a canopy to snivel so long and give them a great opening, but when I jump the same canopy, I can tell that I have reached "terminal snivel" long before canopy spreading, and then have to wait and watch the damn thing start dancing, turning one way, then (thank goodness usually) turning the other way. I've seen tandems snivel for 2000ft. I'll just watch it. keep an eye on my students hands and watch my altitude, thinking okay, any day now. How do ya like it Johnny?
