  1. I am also getting a butt load of those emails, all going to the bulk folder though. Never open them unless it says a name of someone you know in the subject. If you figure out whats causing it or how to get rid of them let me know! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  2. my husband and I were white trash last year. A tribute to the mullet wearing, bearfoot and pregnant town that we live in (and soon moving out of). P.S. No that is not my real hair although it looks like it could be
  3. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and Nutro has been the only food she can keep down. We mix it with a little olive oil or chicken broth to soften it up and she loves it! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  4. Ahhh, yes....obviously one to many already I only teach second grade so I don't really need to know that word I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  5. Thats one of the funniest things I've ever seen! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  6. my mother did, spent about $9000 on a protocal and it went nowhere. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  7. My dog is also terrified of fireworks, she will find the smallest crevice that she can fit in to hide. This past fourth of july we found her behind the toilet! We are also campers and you can find campsites that do not allow fireworks. That is what we do. Actually, a few weeks ago we were at a BBQ with the dog and they were setting off fireworks (which we didn't know about until it was too late) but, while she was still pretty scared, she seemed a little more at ease actually seeing them and seeing that they were just noise and couldn't hurt her, just something to think about. Good luck. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  8. love that, thank you for giving me something to do today I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  9. What kind of male chauvinist state do you live in? That's absurd! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  10. I had that same procedure done about 10 years ago. I was out for close to a month. They came into other problems and ended up having to do other things during the surgury. I was prepared for a 5 day recovery and ended up being incapacitated for 4 weeks! That sucks Good luck with it. As for books, try The Honeymoon by James Patterson, excellent read! 11. Thanks for all the input guys! It seems like most other DZs charge about half what they are charging. I still don't know what to do, I've already done two tandems there and feel super comfortable with the staff. I'm moving to FL as soon as we can sell our house here so I was going to wait to do AFF until I get down there but I don't know when exactly that will be and I'm getting impatient . 12. Thats why I just started skydiving! Always wanted to but something or somebody always got in the way. Finally I just say "fuck it I'm doing it NOW" I did, loved it, now I'm going through AFF. No regrets! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  13. Congrats! The second tandem is a much different experience so go for it! I did two tandems withing 2 weeks and am starting my AFF on Monday, I just can't get enough!
  14. My primary jumpmaster took a rig for me and, while he was checking it, I heard him say: "Who the hell packed this rig??" shaking his head. If I heard that on my first jump I probably would've backed out too. That's unacceptable and the instructor needs to watch what he says around students. It's only your life he's talking about! 15. You're right, but I'm new at this and didn't know about that Next time.... I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  16. Just started, I'm 25. I've always wanted to do it but money got in my way until I finally said screw it and went for it. Now I'm obsessed and wish I started earlier! Starting my AFF next week. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  17. Just curious I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  18. It includes levels 1-8 plus a packing class, manuals, log book etc. It still seems like a lot to me. I am aware of the other DZ but it is pretty far from where I live, and the prices aren't on the website so it's hard to compare. There is a chance that I may be relocating to the Jacksonville area and I was checking out that DZ and they only charge $1400 for basically the same thing without the tunnel. hmmm..... I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  19. Hey there! I'm thinking about doing the AFF course at my DZ in CT. I have a few questions though, maybe you can help me out. First they are charging $2700 for the course including 30 minutes in the wind tunnel, is that average? It seems like a lot to me. Also, since I'm in CT and the DZ is closed from Oct-April what happens as far as recurrency when I go to jump again in the spring? I was thinking since it's so late in the summer already, I might as well just wait until next spring to start and then have the whole summer to enjoy it and get experience. Any advice? 20. Good Luck! You must be stoked! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  21. Thanks for all the encouragement, definitely makes me feel better. I'm going for my first jump course and first training jump sometime in the next 2 weeks! Very Excited!! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
  22. Hey everyone, I am new to skydiving and new to the forums. I have made two tandem jumps in the last 3 weeks and am seriously considering taking the TAFF course at my DZ. I trust the tandem masters with my life (obviously) and I'm not sure if I will ever trust myself that much. It seems like most accidents are lack of quick thinking and decision making, I'm worried that I will panic during an emergency. Does that confidence get built with the training? Any advice?
