Sell them to APMEX.com. They pay fair market value plus some usually. I've had good experiences w/ them so feel fine recommending them.

I'm going back for my 2nd year, but I'm not jumping until next year. I enjoy my pelvis and I need it in good working condition all week.
-
Don't worry. They won't even let you swoop until you finish AFF.

Jumps/year to be worth buying used gear or new gear?
deltron80 replied to mixedup's topic in Gear and Rigging
I think you're forgetting to consider how important it is to look cool on the DZ. -
I may be a pussy, but I'm pretty sure I'll be around longer than that guy haha.

Safety and skydiving, this always makes me laugh hard inside When will people realize that if you truly want to be safe you should go bowling and even then you can have traumas P.S. I don't have anything against people who chose to do one over the other, it's your free choice, but again I'm not cool with the nazi rule enforcers

just got it!

Listening to music whilst falling
deltron80 replied to J0nathan's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You're pretty complacent for 16 jumps if you're already needing a soundtrack. You should be more worried about not shattering your pelvis and both femurs at this stage! For me personally, when I listen to music it makes me more aggressive and excited... It seems like that might be a serious liability on a skydive. -

I agree with you there, Dave. Now, speaking just about the Airtec issue, Airtec's claim, and the one that everyone usually points out, is that a Cypres doesn't actually deploy the reserve canopy, it only cuts the reserve closing loop, when certain altitude and descent speed criteria are met, period! A Cypres has no other function, at all. In this situation, there is a Cypres unit that indicates that it's ready to use even though its one and only reason for existence has been made non-functional by a rigger's mistake. Airtec is going to have to show that it is not foreseeable that a rigger could forget to route the closing loop through the cutter, which leaves Airtec in the position of pointing fingers and shouting, "Negligence," at the rigger. On the other hand, if forgetting to route the closing loop through the cutter is foreseeable then Airtec is going to have to show what steps they've taken to account for that. An obvious complication here is that there is no way to check the placement of the closing loop until the reserve is repacked in six months, or until the reserve is deployed manually, or until someone dies. Airtec's "cutting the reserve closing loop" vs. "deploying the reserve" claim may just come back and bite them in the butt on this one. I hope it doesn't, and believe it or not, I really do feel for the rigger; it was a horrible mistake that I'm sure he didn't do intentionally. But somebody died, and that changes everything. I'm going to go suffocate myself with a plastic bag and sue the supermarket. I'm sure the student signed a waver stating that it was his responsibility to pull his own reserve and that the gear doesn't always work. Your altimeter could stop working too...doesn't mean you can sue if you don't pull. Why don't you go crawl back into whatever hole you came out of and leave us alone.

Hearts & Minds Vietnam documentary won the Oscar for best picture in 1971. Lots of great stuff like General Westmoreland giving a long winded explanation about how the Asian is not a real person and does not feel pain the same way we do..LOL

Haters be jealous, yo.

Based on the pilot flying the thing apparently their target demographic is derranged mad scientists.

Keep in mind the statistics are quite different as well. In Europe they include their prison population in their "unemployed" numbers. We do not.

Darius she just does not know you or Jamile very well that's all. You and I have spoken enough to understand each other and Jeanne is pretty similar if you take the riled up redhead thing out of it. Personally I wish the murdering bastards within the Muslim religion would off themselves and leave the rest of Islam alone. I also wish the Zionists would do the same. Most people want to just get along, in Israel you will find Israelis of Arab decent (muslim) actually serving in the Israeli Army. They live together, work together, their kids play together and there are no problems until the uptight murderous assholes tell them what to think and who they should like. Yes...I'm pretty sure it's the extreme 10% fringe on each side causing all the problems. They are the ones that should be "exterminated" if anyone so that all the normal folks can get on with things.
