1 ft = 0,3048 meter so: 3000 m = 9800 ft 3800 m = 12470 ft 4000 m = 13120 ft

How much did you pull the front riser? I'm jumping Hornet 150 loaded at 1.3 - 1.35 and I have to pull almost 4 inches to get it really dive. When I first tried front riser turns, I only pulled max. 2 inches and it resulted only slow turn/little dive combination. And you should notice the speed difference, it is huge when done properly.

How do I slow my sitfly? I know how to move forwards/backwards/do turns/accelerate my fall rate, but what should I do if I end up being below the other jumpers?
-
My Hornet does the same thing, but dunno if I pack it poorly too. :)

Wheeehee, got my C-license today, after waiting it for almost two weeks. j.

Ahem, PISA actually does have homepage, but dunno when it is going to be online, as it sais landing date february 2002. It can be found on here: http://www.pisa.co.za/ j.

Yeah, but look at the slider of Base canopy, that makes a huge difference in the opening. j.

Whee, made three jumps on sunday. It was a bit chilly out there (-15'C) but who cares? :) j.

Dunno if we have any special tradion here, but I thought if it's warm enough, I'm going to do it naked. :) j.

Our DZ used to have (well, still has couple of those in use) Telesis2 student rigs, and all who have jumped with those, have survived. So I guess there shouldn't be a problem. j.

Experience and Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wise man that guy you know. I just hope I haven't spent all my luck yet. :) j. -
Definitely gives more comfort, ask if you could test some rigs at your DZ with and without the rings, then decide if it's worth it. You didn't tell what kind of an canopy you have flown before and at what wingloading? You could also consider the 210 IMO. Cheap imitation? Hornet was on the market atleast two, or was it three years before the Sabre2, and you could say that Sabre2 is an expensive imitation of Hornet. You can ask anyone who has flown both canopies that they are almost the same thing. Again, it's up to you if you think that Sabre2 is worth the +500$. And what comes to Tempo, go for it, seen two reserve rides this summer, both on Tempo, no complaints from the owner. j.

Definitely the square. Don't even consider the elliptical before you have few hundred jumps, those are totally a different beasts to fly compared to square canopies. j.

Oh my god, now that I finally saw the video, hell, that must've been hurt. You dont get any idea of the speed of that collision from the stills. j.
-
Never seen by myself as I'm quite new in the sport, but what I've been told is that round reserve is the more dominant, and the main will collapse or just "float" behind. And it is quite stable combination. So no need to cut-away. And besides, why would one want to cut-away if there are two fully inflated canopies out (assuming you're not in the downplane)? Cutting away just creates a huge risk of entanglement. j.

Yeah, I can imagine him saying "What the hell, is that bastard teasing my cows and sheeps, better get my shotgun and I'll give him a lesson...." :D j.

Definitely, and remeber the pics too... :D j.

I'm loading mine 1.2 to 1. It's Parachutes de France Techno 155. j.

Same here... :( Only occasionally there might be couple of secs video 'bout skydiving. j.
-
Oh, a good one. lol. So, what was your choice? j.
-
I've had the same idea. Has anyone actually tried this? Probably would be better flying on your back when opening the can. :) j.
-
Maybe you should take some of those pills with the smiley face? :D j.
-
Ouch, that collision looks wicked. :) j.

Yeah, done it couple of times, just to remind myself how it feels on the door. :) And once my friend asked me how does it feel when you are in the air. I was driving at a free way, accelerated to 100mph and said to my friend to put his head of a window, that should give a bit of a taste how it feels. And he did. j.
