  1. At least they changed the slider size at some point, newer ones having a bigger slider.
  2. Oh, then I'm out of ideas. Hopefully someone can help.
  3. It's quite awhile since I had to work with the cam but I think there was a menu called Disc, and there was option Finalize or Close Disc. Then it will close the disc and no further recording is possible, but you can see the files on your computer. So no, the format option is not the correct one. After you have saved the material to your computer then you need to format the disc to be able to use it again, but don't do it before you have a copy of the footage on your computer.
  4. Well, I had a similar situation once with a DVD-cam (was asked to edit some interview) and if I remember correctly you have to close (finalize) the disc with the cam to be able to access the footage on computer. You haven't lost the material, just put it back on the camcorder and it's all there.
  5. http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/controller?act=GetArticleAct&articleID=2086 There is a videosample on Canon's homepage. Pretty sweet if you ask me. I was just editing SD video when I saw this clip and finally I think I need to get myself a HD-cam...
  6. They probably want it back... my VISO had the exact same problem. Worked perfectly without the backlight, but backlight on and it went all crazy and actually showed some negative altitudes on the way up.
  7. Hi, there is going to be a freefly boogie especially for girls, held in Hanko, Finland this summer. More information can be found here. http://www.laskuvarjokerho.fi/pimpmyfly/index.html
  8. Hi, there is a short compilation video of the Finnish invasion to Zephyrhills available, if anyone is interested. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6828
  9. Found this one with a little search: http://www.adorama.com/CYVSFE3X.html This one at least states HD, but is also considerably more expensive.
  10. Has anyone else got this problem I'm often getting. Capture the video in Movie Maker into a DV-AVI, import it to Premiere, Premiere hangs up while it imports the file and if you haven't saved the project, everything is lost. Open the same file on Movie Maker you just have captured, output it as a DV-AVI (again, as it already should be a DV-AVI file), Import it again in Premiere and magic has happened, it works. What's frustrating that it doesn't do this to all the captured files, some work straight away in Premiere, but some do not. That extra conversion is needed only by some files.
  11. First two pics from last weekend, third around June...
  12. Nice jumps there but you have some serious problems with that canopy...
  13. Why did you leave the VX (and FX) out of the poll? So far I have jumped FX, VX, Xaos-21, Xaos-27 and Velocity out of the x-braced canopies and the VX felt most natural progression after the Crossfire. I was previously jumping the Crossfire 1 though, so the high frontriser pressure on the FX and VX was not so unfamiliar. True, the Xaos-line of canopies do open better than FX or VX but atleast to me it seemed like both VX and FX had more bottomend lift and the behaviour was somehow more controlled. I definitely liked Xaos-27 more than Xaos-21 if I had to chose out of those two but my vote would still go to VX if it would've be an option here.
  14. Thanks, and managed to stay mostly dry this year...
  15. http://juhis.ufufreefly.com/zeta06/pages/IMG_5775.html http://www.laszloimage.com/Jan_2007_NEW/pages/Jan_4th_07_MG_1845.htm Few from ZHills....
  16. http://www.shutterfly.com/progal/slideshow.jsp?auto=0&aid=768a5498cf46e9f480d9&idx=57 Now I have to say in this picture there is PLENTY of input and it still seems to fly. Can't really say giving any canopy that much of rear riser input is smart though... Oh, and I have no idea if this canopy is XF1 or XF2?
  17. Sorry no shadow, but a hard turn on the first velo pic. 1) A: Velocity B: 96sqft C: Factory 2) A: Crossfire1 B: 119sqft C: Custom
  18. What size canopy the demo is? I'll be there from 19th December to 9th January and would like to demo the Neos if it is in any proper size.
  19. Sure it's a good thing. I just have never heard any estimations how large part of the overall drag is coming from the lines. But, Spizzarko already gave an answer, thanks.
  20. 10%? I'll take it. You wouldn't want a 10% reduction in line drag on your canopy? If Cessna could make a Citation 10% faster or more fuel efficient with only a nominal increase in production cost, they'd be all over that shit. But how large portion of the overall drag is caused by lines?
  21. I believe in some other thread in here the canopy was mentioned to be Nano by Gin. http://www.gingliders.com/products/nano.php You can find a better quality version of the video in here: http://www.acro-base.com/en/galerie/video/video.htm
  22. How about sewing the padding into the d-bag?
  23. Last 15 tapes I have used were TDK tapes, no problems here.
  24. Sweet, I'll be there 19th December and stay till 9th January. Hope the pond is ready by then for a rematch. (Had a nice chow on it last year)
