Israeli Tanks lined up and ready to roll
livendive replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Or if you are on the otehr side of the argument, you assume 100% they are hezbolla and none of them are innocent civilians..... As always, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. I agree with you. That said, everyone crying about media bias need only look at the reports of deaths on the Lebanese side. Everything I've read so far (minus one bombing of a military installation) has listed all of the casualties as "civilians". Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

One doesn't. Instead, one assumes that 100% of those killed by the Israeli's were civilians and they've yet to kill one Hezbollah fighter. By the way, how many different ways are there to spell the name for the group the Israeli's are fighting? Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

I haven't had time to keep up recently re: ambulances and fleeing civilians, but I did read about the UN building. That sucks. I'm wondering if there's any reasonable explanation, but from what the UN has said, it'd difficult to imagine one. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -
Can we do it again now that I'm sober enough to remember it? Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Come on now, both are bad, but I'd say that a group that intentionally targets and kills civilians is worse than a group that exposes civilians to the possibility of being killed by their own people. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

Unfortunately, the Palestinians instead go blow themselves up in a nightclub, or restaurant, or bus. Are they just kind of HOPING that Israeli soldier will be in the blast radius? Or are they just hoping for maximized kills regardless of the innocence of the victims? Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew) -

How Many people ski/snowboard in the off season?
livendive replied to Chris-Ottawa's topic in The Bonfire
I started snowboarding a few years before I started skydiving. They're very different sorts of fun for me, with snowboarding usually feeling pretty solitary (even when riding with others) and skydiving usually feeling more social. It's not a dropzone. Though I have one "primary" DZ I work at all summer, I train students at a few different dropzones, so I can't really tie my name to one specific location. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

I know, but at least I'm trying to pick up the slack for them. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Well fuck, fuck, cool, and fuck. I suppose I better pay for some advice (or get smarter friends)! Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Thanks for all the advice. I have asked a CPA about tax effects, and he said that a sub-S and an LLC are basically the same from a tax perspective. I've also been advised that the LLC better separates me from my business. Apparently my next steps are to register my business name with the secretary of state & pay a lawyer to draw up articles of incorporation. It's currently a sole proprietership and I'm not planning on taking on any partners, though I suppose I probably could if there was some significant advantage to doing so. Liking that general direction but not wanting to pay royalties, I went to the anagram page. For fandango they gave "fan a dong", "gonad fan", and "and no fag". Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

So I've decided to incorporate my schedule C business (skydiving) as an LLC and need a name for it. The first thing that came to mind was "Cloud 9 Skydiving", but I've been told that's "pretty gay". Since we've done "Name that pet" hundreds of times here and gotten skydiving themed names, it should be a breeze for you people to come up with something good. Ideas? I'm going to have to agree with skyrad on this one. I'll just agree with that. Any further elaboration would likely get me tarred and feathered. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Agreed. What I saw of the skydive sucked, but I see no problem with taking the elderly provided they're healthy enough. I took a gal for her 90th birthday last month and we had a blast. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

wing loadings for jumpers with 50-100 jumps
livendive replied to teason's topic in Safety and Training
How much of that was luck and not having anything go wrong? Getting away with something does not make it smart. Never has, never will. There was a fair amount of luck involved. The design of the parachute helped too. I made some substantial mistakes on that canopy and escaped relatively unscathed. I suppose attitudes have changed since then, mostly for the better. Are you saying 'Shell's breastesses aren't beautiful?! Did you see that thread the other day entitled "You wanna know how I know you're gay?"... Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Wow! Is that you? You've got some beautiful (somewhat mischevious) eyes. Of course everything else looks hot too. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Cool! Maybe this year we can avoid the annual "page 13 for the people with the songbook starting with 'We are the Cocks', page 20 for everyone else (except those who just have the insert)" thing. See ya next week madjohn. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
