  1. Thanks for the detailed answers. I get it now! -R There is an art, or rather a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Pick a nice day, and try it. - Douglas Adams
  2. I've got a question. I searched for it, but didn't get anything worthwhile. What is the difference of a cross-braced canopy from a "normal" canopy? What makes it so much faster? Is it just the speed that makes them more challenging to fly or are there control issues as well? Why are they the choice for swooping? 3. I woke up this morning to a phone call from a friend telling me that my car had been broken into again. This is the third time in the past year and a half and the second time in 3 weeks. It's been hard enough trying to be a college student, get the money together for AFP, rentals, jumps, and now coach jumps all while saving for my own rig without having to f*cking pay for a new window every couple weeks! I'm so sick of this! What the f*ck! Sorry, I needed to vent. None of my friends understand the skydiving factor that comes into play when stuff like this happens. I need to jump out of a plane, that would make me feel better. -R There is an art, or rather a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss. 4. Hello everyone! My name is Rod. After 2 years of intermittent tandems, I finally went through AFP and am now jumping as much as I can at Skydive Cross Keys in New Jersey. I've got 20 jumps and should have my A lisence in the next couple of weeks. I look forward to being in the sport or a long time to come and I hope I get to jump with you sometime!
