Does this mean that if the DZ's call a tandem the first part of a training course then they do not have to comply? As it is part of a structured progression system like the UK's TAFF system.? Journey not destination.....
-
I do feel sorry for British skydivers who have to live with it though. Not half as sorry as I feel for the Sports jumpers in NZ......who don't even get a look in at the majority of DZ's. Journey not destination.....

I disagree..... Journey not destination.....

Given the current rate approx $183 (don't shoot the messenger!!!) Journey not destination.....

No raw nerve........my experience in general after having worked here and abroad, extensively in NZ, gives me a different point of view. If you were treated that bad then name names and places rather than generalise. That way people can make a informed choice? Bryn Journey not destination.....

Total bollocks.........written by a bloke who hasn't been to the UK since he was shipped to the antipodes on a prison ship!! Your licences will be fine and accepted but you will have to take out BPA membership which is £116 for the year. Whichever DZ you go to ask for the CCI and they will help you integrate at whatever level you are at. Yes there are rules and regs but nothing draconian or far different from USPA BSR's............things have changed a lot since the 50 years that Obelixtim has been here ;) If you need any specific advice then PM me. In the "About Us" I would be worried by the "has been" qualified as an Instructor etc. Should state the bodies he is currently approved by? Journey not destination.....

Yes, you can, it sits in the padding and is easily heard. It doesn't catch air underneath nor any of the other "problems" but the vision issue is a major problem no matter the skill level............. Journey not destination.....

A perfect example of thoughts versus reality! Having jumped many different helmets, here is what it is actually like. I have jumped one a few times and NONE of the above are correct. Apart from one, the most important thing, lack of peripheral and down vision, especially on landing. That is the only reason I don't jump it anymore. It looks cool as fcuk and performs really well in freefall but sucks for vision. Don't buy one, go for a traditional full face instead. Journey not destination.....

what do owners think of their JFX
skydog replied to daleskydive's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I went from a x-fire 129 to a JFX 114. Absolutely love it......No cons with it all. Journey not destination..... -
Tell me non UK skydiving isn't like this
skydog replied to Tatetatetate's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What a crock. NZ is as full of politics as anywhere I have been. The NZPIA debacle springs to mind!! As for weather it is much the same as the UK. When I worked there we had 60% down days. Things have changed since the 70's, so catch up with the times or don't post antiquated non sense. Journey not destination..... -
Adio - because the have a rubber bumper on the toes and heels (protects them when packing) and they are very comfortable...... Journey not destination.....

Hands down the JFX I have is the best work canopy I have had. (The NEOS I jumped is back at the factory after knocking its owner out) Go JFX........ Journey not destination.....

As soon as I do more on mine will post a review. Although, if the first is to go by then I am very happy!! Journey not destination.....

What's the problem with using the right landing depending on the situation? Sometimes I slide, sometimes I stand but it depends on many factor's, wind, student etc. It's not your skydive but it is your responsibility to land in a way to not injure the student (as far as that is possible.) If you are hooking to be "cool" then I suggest you go to the manifest, hand in your Tandem rating and keep fun jumping instead...... Sounds harsh but you are a liability and when you hurt someone and their lawyer reads your posts they will have a field day.......... Journey not destination.....

Stolen from the North London Skydiving Centre, UK on the 14/12/2010. If anyone gets offered Next Tandem Rigs, with HOP Mains and Cypres2 AAD's could they please get in contact. The numbers and serial numbers can be supplied upon request. I know it is a long shot but if any information would be appreciated. Bryn Journey not destination.....

Was this the top hooks? The same thing happened to one of my students, but it was retribution as he had spewed in my face........so I didn't feel bad at all........ Journey not destination.....

What stills camera are you using for skydiving
skydog replied to crashtested's topic in Photography and Video
I am with Sam on this one............. He asked about camera choice which is perfectly valid. So you should either back your accusations up or step back and apologise or step up and don the gloves!! Sam, anything from the 400D onwards would be a good choice -

You forgot to add in travel, accomodation, flights etc, which are not usually incurred at your home dropzone. So given the current currency conversions it is an expensive option for overseas students. Nothing to do with drive and determination to succeed. Journey not destination.....
