I have a die-hard Windows brother that was into everything PC. HTML, Java, does web editing and web-engineering for Citibank. He bought a mac laptop this summer and swears he can never go back to a Windows PC. I messed around on it this evening. It rocks. Only problem is the extra cost, but that's the tradeoff for buying a superior product- you get what you pay for. Problem is now I want one. Think I can get our IT to load our VPN client on a mac?

I quit buying them- I never read them anyways. If I needed to look something up I'd grab one of my study partners. They never complained since I was getting them through the engineering courses. There isn't much of a difference between the editions either unless you're getting graded on homework. Or, five of you buy a book, scan it, and print copies. Not that I would ever do anything like that.

They could very well be headed overseas. For sale overseas the 5 complete sets would be worth 20 to 30 times pawning the TV and DVD player, and much harder to track down.

No, but 'customercare@walmart.com' told me I bought a Vaio laptop on two occassions since Thanksgiving, payment by credit care, confirmation information in the attached .pdf file. Of course, the .pdf was actually a .pdf.exe containing a worm and I have yet to see anything on my credit cards, and someone else's email address was in the TO: field of the email. Probably worth a phone call but not much else.

They WANTED to get thrown off. They PLANNED on it! This isn't the first time a group has organized and perpetrated a hoax against themselves to garner public support. Just like the group of middle-eastern college age students that walked into Best Buy, bought all the disposable cell phones and cried 'buying while Muslim' all over the media. 'They just wanted to get a great deal' my foot. -

These guys found a new line of work after their builder let them go fearing prosecution for employing illegals. Well, as long as this stuff goes on the whole security thing is a bit of a joke anyways. -
