  1. Same here, so I can't realy vote on the poll.
  2. I wouldn't go into details too much. It's probably best to keep things simple, most whuffos have trouble understanding what you're talking about so I wouldn't come babling about low and high presure and such. I think if for example you let them try on your rig they will be most impressed.
  3. I own two helmets, an open face helmet and a mamba for the winter periiod. I concur with wath other users said about the screen getting sracthed and looking hazy very easely. You can use it for freefly however if you do head down with it the screen will pop open on transitions. I also don't like the way dytters are installed, it's a hassle to get them in and out.
  4. High Hopes is nice but I'm not so fond of David Gilmours work, it sounds too different compared to the real Pink Floyd classics. My favorite would be "Echoes"
  5. I don't consider sitflying to be exhausting at all, I'm not particulary strong so I think you're trying to fly it too rigid. Sitflying isn't a fixed sitting position and the fact that you find it exhausting must meen you're not doing it right. Give it some time, eventually it will come. And no you don't need to fitness to be able to sitfly.
  6. I saw the complete video of the switzerland part a while ago when Tony was visiting us at dz Schaffen Belgium. Someone from Tony's team showed it on his HC5 screen and it impressed me very much and made me think about wingsuit skydive. Later I bought my own wingsuit and now am a fledging birdy, I hope to go there once and do the same kind of jump across the mountains.
  7. At 2300 jumps according to your profile you should know this or else you're trolling.
  8. I once was forced into making a rear riser landing because of a tention knot at my right steering toggle. I landed it safely with a standup landing having never done a rear riser landing before. That was at around 35 jumps. Also I almost always do standup landings wind or no wind...so I guess that also makes me an egomaniac. As others mentioned you don't have anything filled out in your profile but cosidering you introduced yourself as a new skydiver less then 2 months ago I'll make a wild guess and say you probably aren't an experienced skydiver. So I would be carefull about handing out "advice".
  9. I wouldn't bother with a tandem, if you gonna do AFF just do it. I don't think a tandem will help ya other then to make you more nervous on your first aff cause you'll know what to sorta expect.
  10. It's nice that you're all very happy with your HC5, but that doesn't help us CX7 users very much.
  11. I would also be very interested in seeing some footage. I have had my CX7 for weeks now but just recently received my coockie blackbox so I'm now assembling my camera setup. Now I'm reading it has problems in freefly...
  12. I find this a bit odd, it's not like the CX7 is new to skydiving, it's been in use for over a year, even in freeflying. How come these faults are mentioned now?
  13. Cutaway: Go,go,go... Reserve: Pump the brakes.
  14. I would much rather prefer "height issues" then "snag potential issues", I'm pretty big myself 6'2" and will be jumping a cx7 top mount soon (just waiting for the cookie box to arrive).
  15. Yves Rossy managed to fly his design, meaning he could gain altitude, I don't think the guy with wingsuit and jets on his feet was able to do that.
  16. It seems a little odd that somebody would sell a complete rig without knowing anything about it. If he's not a skydiver how did he obtain the gear in the first place, seems a little suspicious.
  17. Yeah, I'm interested in the full res as well, a very nice shot indeed.
  18. It would be nice to actually show the picture paul
  19. I stand corrected then, guess I did not notice the fact it's a new-zealand based company.

    GREATINGS

I jump a Bonehead Mamba and I like it, check out Bonehead composites.
  21. Sorry, but that's just not true. I've never seen a cloud that was so dense it didn't allow light to penetrate it. It's not that difficult to see which direction the sun is, even from the middle of a cloud. You obviously have never been in a 3000 ft thick cloud, believe me you have no reference what so ever. Tell me, on a rainy day, when clouds are thick, can you still see the sun? I Bet you not. Here in Belgium it is legal to jump through clouds, the standard action when caught in a cloud would be to gently spiral downwards so you won't hit someone who's at the same level as you are by flying straight forward and basically have no idea what direction that is. It is however illegal to jump when the cloud base is lower then 3000ft.
  22. That's a very good explanation, there is no locking and there is no straight 90-90-90 rule, I jump with a small lighter friend and with a bigger guy, both of them have a different sit but fly it excelently. It al realy depends on your body.
  23. In his demonstartion video he uses the CX7, that makes it clear enough for me.
  24. Why I started jumping? I get bored real easily.
  25. Agreed, it was about time something realy usefull came out of it.
