I'm a little confused here. Are you saying there were a lot more than 750 rioters or more than 750 police? At what ratio of cops/rioters does the situation become uncontrollable? Or does the throwing of rocks and bottles have anything to do with it? Jim Blue skies, Jim

998:9:1 New total jumps 998. Thought I would get my 1,000th this weekend, but SL went on weather hold Sat afternoon and all day Sun. Oh well, now I'll get to jump big one with son, brother in-law, sister in-law, and guys who were at Eloy the past week.

Hope you all get to come out to Spaceland today for the Fly Free Festival. There's already a good crowd here for a Friday afternoon and the sky is blue with broken clouds. The PD folks are great and if you want to jump a reserve to see what they fly like, they've got them ready for you. Relative Workshop is also here with a bunch of containers and stuff. HURRY UP and get out here. You look like you're not feeling well so get your A$% in the bosses office and tell him you're going "home", See you all soon. Blue skies, Jim

Tom Jenkins of Deguello has formally announced that Skydive Dallas, Gold Coast Skydivers and Skydive Spaceland are hosting the 2003 Texas State Record Big Way jumps. Gold Coast Skydivers will host 40-way jumps on May 10th and 11th led by Jim Jenkins. Skydive Spaceland will host 60-way jumps on July 18th - 20th led by Jack Berke & Tom Jenkins. Skydive Dallas will host the 120-way Texas State Record jumps on August 15th - 17th led by Rob Laidlaw. On-line registration is available for all events at http://www.skydivespaceland,com and will be on the Moss Point and Dallas web sites soon. Deguello will be also be organizing 20 - 40 ways at Skydive Spaceland when not training, and Skydive Dallas has announced a series of TSR practice jumps on their web site. We get a lot of complaints about short battery life too. Remember everyone, take the old batteries out and wait at least 2 minutes before inserting the new. Only thing you lose is the date and time which is easily reset. Blues, Blue skies, Jim
