Hi all what's new??? I was just reading the post about the possibility of a trophy being made... so i had an idea!!!! i want to organize a record attempt during the jumprun.com goodtime lll boogie at the cleveland parachute center my home DZ...held june 21-30 2002..their will be two casa's at this boogie so don't be shy plenty of room for all who want to join in the fun...anyone wanting to help make this happen is welcome and appreciated...i think it would be a great opportunity meet all the great people that use this forum and have a good time!!!!!! you can contact me at dengopher@aol.com.... i look forward to making this happen... First welcom to the sport don't give up!!!!! paula is on the money ... here are some other things to try have her sit in on your classes and see if your instructor is willing to awncer her questions.. fove her talk to other female skydivers... see if see would try a tandem that worked on my girlfriend but now in the spring i have to pay for the AFF classes...ouch!!!! but it will be worth it ..... well dude i hope something works out for you and you girlfriend .... good luck!! just jump!!! gopher

I have only been to five different DZ'S .... the list best to worst.. 1) skydive city in z-hills great aircraft supper people felt like it was my home away from home..... 2) Cleveland parachute center home DZ. GOOD PEOPLE!!!! 3) skydive sebastian great view of the florida coast!!!!!!!! rented gear gave me a spectre 230 am i ever gona land?????? 4)aerohio sorry not going to wright a book just to jump!!!! 5)skydive deland rude people.. if you are not in their click or on a team forget it at least that is how i was treated... just jump!!!!!!!! gopher

I guess that happens alot!!! last year at the cleveland parachute center my home drop zone we were watching a load of static line jumps.. first one out opens fine second one out opens fine and makes a couple of turnes then shocked every one when he cut a way.... when he landed unharmed we asked why did you cut a way that good parachute???? he responded that the slider would not go up.....I here that happens alot with students due to sensory overload when they are just starting out...

hi all what's new?? has anyone seen the commercial for zenith with the skydiver pulling the cutaway handle to open his main.... when the container opens his laundry comes flying out!!!!! did this bother anyone or am i just over reacting?? well i called zenith any way and got the address and the names of the c.e.o. and advertising head.. i also talked to them.. and expressed my concerns about the inaccurate depiction of our sport... than sugested that if they wanted to use skydiving as a tool to sell their product that was great just do it in a good way not showing thi skydiver as a mindeless boob!!!!!!!! so if you think i an in the wright here send the c.e.o. and the advertising head a letter like i did. the address is 2000 millbrook Dr. lincolnshire IL. 60069 THE C.E.O. i know it will be difficult to get the jumps in.. they have several big boggies that i plan to camp out for those weeks..oooh i am jumping at the CSPC..where is xenia??? i want to jump at some other DZ'S just to see how they all compair... so maby i will get the chance to meet.. and even jump together... thanks for responding

HI all i am new to the sport but fell in love with it on my first AFF jump.. i now have 31 jumps and plan to have 500 by the end of next summer..being new i have found it hard to get people to jump with.. but the people that have say i am doing great and are surprised to find out the number of jumps i have and will jump with me any time.. so i am looking to make new friends to jump with..so if you jump in ohio and want some one new to jump with let me know i live and work to jump now!!!

I would tell the ---hole to ----off if you are to help new jumpers to learn new skills safely then you are the man and the sport needs more skydivers like you...I hope you continue to help the new skydivers.. keep up the good work....
