  1. Many many moons when I was like 10 years old we lost a hamster for a few days.....and then I started hearing funny sounds in the walls. At first I thought it was a poltergeist, than I figured it was the hamster. I followed it by ear; the little fucker came out the thingy that water comes out of in the bathtub Don't worry, he/she will turn up
  2. Well, it looks like a variety of opinions have been voiced (as expected - this is after all dz.com.) So, I guess you'll have to go with what you agree with. The fact of the matter is there is nothing wrong with wanting to date a mom, or not wanting to; it's a case of preference, nothing more, nothing less. Furthermore, in objecting to date a women with kids, all-be-it by saying it outright, or being "weird" a guy may be simply saying "I'm not ready for kids." The only thing that baffles me is the fact that the person you're currently seeing has a kid or kids of his own and is funny about you having kids... Personally, I don't mind dating with kids, in fact i almost prefer to for the reasons Twardo stated (that and I simply love kids). However, that backfired on me once, and i don't know if I could deal with the emotional toll that took on me. The short story is I met this girl that had a five year-old; at first it was great, not only did her and I get along, but Kacper loved me to death and vice versa. I loved that boy as if he was my own son and truly wanted too be involved in both their lives. Nonetheless, it didn't work out, and from what I hear, she has changed drastivally for the worse since our break-up. I feel really bad for the kid Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

  4. Interesting post...really made me think My best friend and I know each other for almost 18 years-he was 5 and I was 8 when we met. For a while now though, we rarely talk; although we both live in the same city we talk once, MAYBE twice a month. Guess things change Edited to add: as far as the definition of what is a best friend....I agree with what the others have said thus far. In short; accept my strengths AND weaknesses Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of
  5. Don't get me wrong... I'm willing to provide a ss# for the reasons you stated; my issue is providing it over the internet I think you would agree with the rest of us that it is rather easy for a third party to access your information; identity theft generates billions of dollars of business annually. Furthermore, spyware continues to become more advanced and as a result, quite effective at penetrating home computers, even well secured ones. For example, I keep my personal computer very secure, and nonetheless I find spyware on a weekly basis. I have yet to get through all of the suggestions of the "What Goes Good With Rum?" thread, but, I promise...the longer I sit here looking for work, the quicker I'll work my way through that thread Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of
  7. Alright, I can believe stuff like this is possible, based on my own personal experiences, but I have to see it myself to believe it. These days, it's SO incredibly easy o professionally edit, using programs like Adobe Premiere, and the alike videos that they are much less creditable. Also, what adds to my skepticism is the fact that on nearly every cut-scene a statement reads: "this is real and unedited" or something to that effect. I'd like to believe some of this is indeed authentic, but have difficulty believing the entire piece is genuine. call me crazy... 9. I've been having nightmares every night for close to a week now....Everything from demons & hell type things, to my mom dying, to myself having cancer or some other terminal illness and being afraid of death. 10. Is it just me, or do you guys also think, as I do that having to provide your SS# on a online job application is a really bad idea?... I think it's very foolish of a potential employer to require such information over the internet. I don't have as big of problem providing it in person, it is after all necessary It's been a few weeks now, and I'm still just filling out app after app; the ones that i think I could get ask for a SS# right off the bat and I just think that's bad juju; a thd party could easily access it, and I don't even want to think of the consequences that could bring! Any thoughts on this subject? Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

  12. Yes, you are Kidding, kidding... There was a time period in my life where I attended around 7 funerals in 3 years, the last of which was my fathers. Although I shed a tear at my dad's, by the time his came I was so numb that it's almost as if I had developed an "on/off switch" with regard to my emotions, probably as a way of coping; mind you I had just turned 15 at the time (if that had anything to do with anything.) At the same time, yes, I did think how it would be when it was my time, but more-so, accepting the reality that it will be my time 1 day was what really made me think very deeply; having to come to terms with your mortality as a 15 year-old kid is a odd feeling, In answer to your question though (before I get all philosophical), I would hope my family carries out my wishes of being cremated and spilled over some beautiful part of the earth, such as the ocean or mountains. I don't want anybody to ever stand over my grave sad and mourning, instead I'd like anyone to focus upon their memories of my life; hopefully I accomplish my goal of impacting peoples lives for the good to be for them to want to take such trips down memory lane. Pardon me if I go on a bit of a tangent here, but the last month has really made me think hard about how lucky I am to still be here....there were a lot of things I can recall that i shouldn't have lived through, yet, I did, and know full well I have no right for such a privilege. I know I'm a 2 tandem wonder (for now), but being a part of these forums has made a better person. It's really hard to read some of the posts on here sometimes, but it has strengthened me; gave me compassion for friend and stranger alike-a compasion I didn't have before coming here. I can only hope (and I know it will) that remaining here and going onn to be a full-time jumper only structures and builds my character for no other purpose than to have a positive effect on those around me. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread...I really did try to stay on subject Just wanted to share some of my thoughts. Hopes some of this makes some sense. Pain

Something I didn't post in the Blue Skies forum is how much I admired him; even though I, again, did not know him. Not only was he a very open person, possessed a wealth of knowledge, but he also wasn't the least bit shy about saying what was on his mind. I'm really going to miss his thought provoking posts. Also. (to the best of my knowledge) he had experience in jumping with people with disabilities; I always wanted to send him a pm about this or that in that regard, but figured he was very busy and didn't want to bother him. I very much regret not sending that pm and getting to know him. Above all else, Tonto touched so many people on here. The more I think about this, the more the realization of just how fucked up this is solidifies itself Please excuse my language. Indeed. I've met a few dz.commers now, and have always felt I knew them to a good degree long before we met. Knowing someone does not require a meeting. Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

  19. This Tonto?!?!?! This I can't believe... I didn't know Eric personally, but by reading a lot of his posts on here I could tell he was a great guy. He was full of information and always willing to share and teach others. He seemed so safety conscious it wasn't funny; I can't believe this happened to him. He will be missed by a multitude of people; my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
