    Weird!

  3. Ok, so I was thinking about the King of The Hill episode where Peggy has a double total mal and goes in. She survives it, as it shows on the season premiere of the following season. Anyhow, supposing you were in the situation where nothing is over your head and nothing is coming out, what do you think would be the best body position to try to be in when you impacted? Also, what do you think would be the best thing to "land" on, if you had the time to try to aim for something with the hopes of maybe living through it? 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .

hmm, wonder if I can get to Ifilm from work. Bet I can!
  5. You know what you call a motorcycle rider without a helmet? An organ donor 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
  6. 4 - 5 feet? Are you sure it wasn't higher than that. I have had stand-up landings where I dropped 4 - 5 from where my canopy stalled, with no ill effects.
  7. You talkin to me? I was the first born, that's how I know. And they deserved it sometimes and maybe not so much other times. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
  8. Yep. It's been weird this week. On Wednesday we made one load down in Franklin, and then stopped, because it was backing my up under canopy, and I landed way the hell out in the middle of a field and got dragged about 15 feet. One of funnest landings I've had yet.
  9. Yep, I think this is way more accurate. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
  10. Seems to me that the first born would be the biggest risk taker, being that they didn't have anyone to watch and learn what they could do and get away with from someone older. So they took more risks to see how far they could push the limits, with parents and everything else. Then seems like youngest would be more of a risktaker than middle, because the babies of a family are a lot more likely to rebel, because they are the youngest and treated that way.
  11. My roommate-to-be is actually from Riverside, CA, so southern California is pretty much not an option. Plus I hear the weather sucks. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
  12. The difference for me, is that we are thinking about going somewhere, and then finding the jobs there. Because as you said it is too hard to try to interview far away all the time. Technically, finance. But that translates to accounting, database, and god knows what else. Right now I am maintaining/building a database for an investment company. But I want the more financial temp work so that I will at least be getting useful experience.
  13. Ok, so I have exhausted all of my job leads with still no success. So I am at the point in my life where I have no real attachment to where I am living and can pretty much go anywhere I want, which I and my future roommate are toying around with. So my question to you is where should we go and why should we go there? Since all I am doing for a job right now is temp work, I can do temp work pretty much anywhere, while I continue looking for a real job. So tell me what you think.
  14. 17-ring release system... ?
  15. Start looking at soldier of fortune magazine a lot when he is around. Then one day while you are casually playing with a switchblade, mention to him that you can provide him a really good deal on "neighborhood protection" for 20 bucks a month.
  16. Well if it wasn't on walls before, it probably will be now. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
  17. Little known fact. Safety rating statistics for SUV's are virtually useless. Why? Because SUV's are crash tested and safety rated for only 3 passenger, even though most have seatbelts for 5 to 6. Interesting... Plus they are road and gasoline hogs. Down with all SUV's.
  18. This is probably the worst idea for a thread that I have seen yet. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .

    why

I know what hyperbole means, but if you start with something then compare it to something hyperbolically the emphasis is only achieved if they still have some form reasonable similarity to start with. Skydiving and crack don't. *sigh*

    why

Actually... if you want to get into it, so does almost any physically exerting activity. And yes some people can become addicted to that feeling but it is nowhere near as addictive or dangerous to the body as drugs are.

    why

Oh geez! I know that you weren't one hundred percent serious, but there are still better examples if you want to play "devil's advocate." Besides if you are allowed to play devil's advocate, then I can play devil's advocate to your viewpoint. But please don't take a condescending tone, it's unbecoming and tends to start arguments. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
