    depending on how old, that's not too bad a question! i gave a lecture in french classes this year, when one of the other teachers knew about it, their class joined too. brought the gear including a wingsuit and showed a couple videos. out of planned 20 minutes became like an hour and a half. let them hold and touch the gear, did a little packing-class. everyone was amazed and fascinated. not many have seen or really heard much about the sport, except the one or two tandems. some pretty standard and not-so-standard questions. it was fun and good!

    Are they all like a cypres, where it takes turning it off and on again to make it run through the initial self check is required to test the cutter continuity (test for a fired cutter)? Doing that every jump is perhaps a good idea with no downside. well, isnt the whole idea of an AAD to "turn it on and forget"!? might be a naive question, and maybe a bit of a biased one, since i jump a different product and feel quite safe in doing so; one of the reasons being it's mandatory 4yrs check. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.     Can we have a recap on the thread so I can see what I missed? It wasn't a thread so much as an assault. rocco went and bumped a bunch of Funks threads with a one line reply usually something like "Oh really?" or "Tell me more" 23 or 24 times. The whole front page disappeared. It lasted an hour or two, fun while it lasted, but you kinda had to be there.
