Morning all. Today's troubleshooting and paperwork. Yeehaw! On the plus side, I had to pick up some meds from the apothecary this morning and since they don't open until 8.30 I got to sleep in today.

Yes, it's funny how people yelling "go" always seem to impair my sense of hearing as wel as slowing me down physcally. Translation: People yelling "go" even if you DO hear them: Fuck those lemmings. Not everyone "gets it" right off the bat. Those that don't would be much happier and better off if they didn't have to see/hear/deal with the type of attitude that is often displayed by those who do "get it" right off the bat. I've been working with my swooper/CRW dog/AFFI/Coach IE/master rigger s/o in a few basic canopy courses this year. With all that experience and knowledge and all those ratings, he makes me - conservative, 1.1 loaded, not gonna swoop ever ME - teach the effective flaring portion of the course. What exactly do you mean by the 'two stage flare'? I seem to have my definitions confused. Do not stow the slack on the extra brake line. You indeed pull the slack out of the lines while flaking. I'd recommend doing so just before folding the tail around the rest of the canopy. I'm not sure that is correct. I thought the function of the extra brake line was to make the canopy respond to toggle inputs the same way as the smaller sabres do (170's and smaller do not have the extra line).
