I have no way to judge whether such WL would be appropriate for you, but I have two remarks: Please do not talk yourself into getting a small reserve by using the so-called 'differences in measuring methods' as an excuse; a 169 is a 169, period. If you want a bigger reserve, get a bigger reserve.

Based on your statement I get the feeling that the instructor has identified something that makes him/her feel that this may not be a sport for you. It isn't a sport for everyone. Do some serious soul searching and decide if this sport is a match for your personality and skill set. IF it is a match then continue but if it isn't a sport for you then now would be a good time to persue other interests. Either way I'm glad you made a jump and welcome to our sport. That quote jumped out at me as well. Rhandolph, did your instructor tell you why he made that comment? If not, go ask him. Morning. I started work at 8.00 am today, hoping to get a lot of work done. By nine am I had three critical hardware errors which I cannot seem to solve and two different software crashes. So much for getting all that work done today and back to writing SOPs while awaiting the manufacturers solution. I think he meant that it's not an option to take care of your children, instead of it's not an option to have children And all other things being equal, I agree. You had a child, so it's your responsibility. There is no excuse for neglecting or mistreating a child. : : 0 I was completely wrecked on Saturday... didn't feel like I'd be able to responsibly fall from an aircraft. The high winds and generally sucky weather didn't improve matters. Sunday the weather and I were a lot better but I had to attend someones birthday. Oh well.. my time will come. I just hop I can get those last nineteen jumps in this year...that would bring my total count on 300.
