    I thought this was still a point of contention. It is and has been a point of contention for along time. There are plenty of "citation needed"s on wikipedia's entry on him. He says he broke it, some say he only reached .9, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Kittinger

    A friend of mine recently (finally) finished a video from a group of friends' first tandem jumps in 2003. After seeing it, it brought back all of the smiles and excitement I felt that day. Since then I haven't been able to stop thinking about jumping, so I've decided that I'm going to start on my certification and A license, no more tandem tourism! I wanted to start this weekend, but it's a bit too cold and windy I think (I'm in Atlanta). My tandem in '03 was at Skydive Atlanta, and the folks were all wonderful people. Since then, Skydive the Farm has opened up and is a little closer, so any of you at the Farm will probably have to put up with me for a good long while. I look forward to meeting many of you somewhere along the way. Blue skies! Andreas
