Freefly710 replied to TrophyHusband's topic in The Bonfire

space shuttle damage: why is the decision so hard?

actually, the robotic arm is what reached around and inspected the damage with the laser and cameras. all the images of the damage we have seen were taken by that arm. -
being only 20, if i travel to another DZ, i try to make a point to just ask somebody what the policy is at that particular DZ before i indulge in a tasty beverage... its usually cool but i would never just assume so...

like him or not, bonds has always had a sweet swing... steroids cant teach you sound baseball mechanics...when i played in college i saw guys that were 5'6 who weighed 160 blast 400 foot homers....its about bat speed, not brute force. ..steroids wont buy you bat speed. i agree bonds isnt the picture perfect idol image but the guy has talent...cant take that away from him.. and just for the record.... i agree, A-rod will pass him up before its over with....

i know several people who do a regular propack until they flip the canopy over when they put it on the ground, fold the sides in, and roll it up like a psycho pack...kinda the same thing actually..but whatever... yes...you can pro pack and then roll it up on the ground...

i took every test and quiz in his office and showed him. his response was.."well i grade on a bell curve and you fell into the C range." that would imply that EVERYBODY in the class made a grade over a 90, but looking at the class statistics, the mean grade was a 67 with a standard deviation of over 20. hes full of shit, and my gpa and graduating with honors could suffer from it.....
-
I just spent three hours arguing with a teacher over a grade from the spring semester. He swears i made a C in the class, but low and behold, I made over a 90 on every test and quiz! What an ass!!! I have a 3.9 grade point average, so this "C" would kill my gpa! I have a meeting with the Dean of engineering tomorrow, so maybe he can help me straighten this out.. Sorry...just had to vent. Anybody else had any horrible experiences like this in college??

haha dude that was the funniest shit (yes, pun intended) ive seen at the DZ in awhile... hope to see you out again this weekend!!!

i like them all...they are all great wings. i choose the sabre2 because i like the llighter front riser pressure and longer recovery arc for learning to swoop. and..i can make my sabre2 open better than any pilot or safire ive ever jumped.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJLfhB9akJI

when i get home..ill post pics of what i do with my slider when i pack my sabre2 and get the openings i put in my clip.. its all about keeping it symmetrical and carefully quartering the slider..
-
eh..slaving away on the packing carpets down at Skydive Alabama...do you remember that place? its been so long!!
-
I know a hot young guy from Alabama who would LOVE to be your yard boy!!!

my first rig was a wings and i loved it...very comfortable. i now own an icon and it is by far the most comfortable rig ive ever jumped, but there is alot of good stuff out there...ask around and maybe ask your buddies at the dz who are around your size if you can try their containers. you cant go wrong with any of the name brands out there.

sorry to hear about your bad experience, but i hope this wont lead you to believe that the customer service at aerodyne is anything but top notch. karl and bushman have been more than happy to assist me with whatever question ive had, and the folks at my dz who have demoed, bought, or had repairs done on their aerodyne stuff have been nothing but completely satisfied! blues, my friend.

i just randomly picked 6 videos out of my collection... those openings were very typical for my Sabre2. this was a sabre2 150 loaded at about 1.35.

ahh..thanks for the clicky...
