  1. Newbie question directed mostly at northern seasonal jumpers. Instructors and camers flyers aside, what is the highest number of fun jumps you have made in a season. . . say March through October? I know most have exceeded this but so far I only have 61 but I'm still renting gear, and I can't spend all day at the dz Thoughts?
  2. Yes they were central characters in a classic Saturday morning tv show, but really, they had pictures of the two of them on the wall and were never apart from each other . . . Possible life partners?
  3. Young Frankenstein. A true classic Airplane. I still laugh at it
  4. With only 38 jumps I'm really on the same level as you and I have experianced and ame experianceing (sp?) the same ting. I did a tandem and 3 AFF jumpt last fall but had to stop because the season ended ( I jump in Michigan). I'm prettly sure I thought about skydiving ALL WINTER daily. Probably due to the adreneline causing a PTSD like effect resulting in the constant memories of my previous jumps. However now with a couple of dozen jumps under my belt, whie the sensory overload of my first jumps have long since past I still find myself searching DZ.com and thinking about my previous dives. This would probably be classified as an "obsession" at least in my case. Thank god for an understanding wife!
  5. From the perspective of a very recent participant in the AFF program, and with only 38 jumps. Last October I completed a level "C" (first instructor release) and passed but it was sloppy. I repeated it this spring and TOTALLY blew it. I was very unstable. I back slid, potato chiped, and an AFFI re-docked. Of course I had to repeat it. I wanted to think the jump was ok at the time, but I'm glad I had to repeat the level . . . I sucked, I felt lousy about wasting time and money, and really thought about cutting my losses. But 2 weeks later I did the same jump and was alot more comfortable. I passed and the jumps were alot more comfortable from then on. Bottom line is . . . keep at it, and try not to let too much time pass between jumps.
  6. wish I had thought to beg the rents I've wanted to jump for the last ten years but kept putting it off. 1 week after my first tendem I was in an AFF first jum course. Got my A last week Regret not jumping ten years ago but better late than never!
