This was a Great Weekend for me. OK, so this is my story and a day I won't forget. I'm stretched out on the couch watching the game in the Trailer with Norvel, So we’re drinken and yelling at the TV. And out the corner of my eye I saw a guy come in but didn't pay to much attention because I was into the game. Some time go's by and the same dude comes from out of the bathroom looks up and says pass me the peanuts. So I reach down not really paying attention but respectivley pass him the nutts, and soon after I started hearing this cracking and crutching like a professional who’s done this before and during a cermercial I notice a rythem of the nutts. So, I look up and in my head for a few seconds I see the dead guy from the wall at the bar. And then a minute later I catch myself starring at him but still in thought saying he can't be dead he's right hear. So, I point at this guy and it's you your Jerry Bird. I have always heard great stories of him and how he helped change the world of skydiving and he's 6ft away from me. So to make a short story long. He has the kooliest stories and I was tuned in when he started to speak. He tells me a story about being in the Bird House and over hearing a young lady saying. How great it was to ohner this dead guy named Jerry with his name above the bar. Well, I guess he turns to the lady and lets her know that he's not infact dead at all, and well that gave me a smile because I've had a chance to sit down with a Legend like him and just shoot the shit. So the point of this is that Jerry Bird is very much alive and kicking. I know this because I passed him the nuttz…. Hey Minni I have'nt heard back from you. Are you still coming out this way. I am now doing Back Flying, it's the most stable I have been. I did try the sit suite, it was Shit!! We tosted that idea as soon as we got down. It didn't catch the air I wanted and you would think it would atleast catch a little. Well, it was not enough to sit me up and since I don't have stomich muscles to help me bend it just didn't work. And the air that it did catch it made it a little harder when reaching for my hacky. I'm also looking to get a Belly Mounted Main, because trying to roll over was a Bitch. So for now TK is rolling me as I picth and that seems to work fine. What do’s race have to do with anything, it has nothing to do with race at all so get your head out of your ass because there was no reason for you to even comment on this subject. I don’t normally talk like this, but out of all the great skydiving people I have met and learned from there is always One Ass Hole, and you ( Liftedtitan ) are that One AssHole that wants to ruin something special for someone who was doubted from the very start. Because there will be people to follow me and there are people now that are doing the same thing as I, but it is safe to say that there are no black people doing it in the US. I had No role model to follow in their footsteps after and I had No wheelchair role models to follow after. But I do choose to be a role model not only for the great sport of sky diving ,but for Ass Holes like yourself who might think that black people don’t even think about sky diving, especially black people in a wheelchair. It's kool, I am a Par and I have been working fulltime for the past 4 years at being the first and Only Black wheelchair SkyDiver. It's been a long road but I/We are almost there. I have accomplished everything about the Skydive except one thing and we have been working out that kink every weekend for the past year. I don't want to go into what that part is, but I have come futher then some of the few of us out there have. I am down to one instructor now during my free fall and my goal is for this coming winter to get down to No instructors, so I can jump with the team I have formed.I have been breaking and making the rules about people in wheelchairs and I won't stop till I'm done. I have over 40 jumps with 7 or 8 of them being aff, but 0ver 30 of them tandems. So, I have been put into a lot of different position and I think each instructor that wants to learn should have a chance to find what works best for them so they can feel safe with a disabled person straped to them, and I am whiling to help in anyway that I can. jimjumper thats great man. I am not saying I am the Only one out here with a disability, so I don't know how to take your comment. What I am saying is that I am making myself available to instructors and lay people who would like to learn how to jump with a person like myself. So obviously this would not be for you since you have access to people who have jumped with disabled people. which is kool. I am a disabled person who can help a Newby that would like to learn first hand experience and not just go be hearsay. I know I can offer that kind of unique experience. I have been given so much from my Skydiving family that I see it's only fitting to give back what ever I can. So, I don't know if it was necessary to belittle what I would like to give to those who don't have access to people like myself. I want to thank you for commenting on something that needed no comment from you since you know it all. Dude as your Fellow Cloud Jumper it's bound to get even worse. I have been there, met a girl slamm'in body and good attitude on life. I also took her child in as my own and she was great. But I found myself spending more time with the child then she was, and I did not Recognize it until it was too late. How that happen was, I wanted to go visit a my brother and he has my niece and nephew and they are great and the y love me. So when I told her where is was going she Instinct ably thought I was taking her child with me. So when I told her that this time was just for them she blow up to the point of well what are you going to do about your daughter. Which was the roll I put myself in. But to have someone force there child on me or to just give me a responsibility out of anger was just to much. And with the time I had to think, she infact spent more of her time doing what she wanted and niether of it had to do anything with spending her time with her own child. So I just felt like a baby sitter. Now I'm not saying that thats your girls position. But also as a single man that you are you might want to take the time to really think about what you are willing to handle and what your not. Because the time will come when your disciplining " The Child " you will get he/she is not your kid after getting attached. And my friend that day WILL come and it will truley SUCK and you will either see the light were this is not how you wanted to be treated by someone you felt was special in your life. Or you will bow your head and act like a lil Bitch and say your sorry. And as a jumper you have already been through some trile and error stuff with your life on the line. So don't let yourself get mentally mind fucked by a women that you love and would do anything for that has a child that will NEVER be yours, and with that said you will always be walking on egg shells about the things you say to the child, not wanting to loose you women. By your words, it's already happend and you don't know what to do. So you already put your life along with your dreams on hold. What else are you willing to give up? Hey man, there is no way to tell you how it feels. I also can use my legs from being hit by a druck driver. I know Gimp, D and myself have been through the bumps and brewses. And we all do what we do differently, and so far we all seem to be happy with how far we have come and we always look for improvements. Man if you can stand or even walk you have us all beat by a mile. And D is rite you should not worry so much about what can happen, but you can & should always understand how to handle stuff if it occures. And then you will be able to release those bad thoughts about cloud jumping. Make sure you pay attention in the class room and ask all the questions you come up with there are no dumb question. I am on my 11th Simi solo jump and my 40 something tall together. I say simi because my instructor still has a hand on me during freefall. I did start out with 2 instructors and got to 1 over a 4yr period. And now I feel acomplished and looking to take it another step. I'll be getting in the tunnel very soon and I am looking foward to trying something new. We've come up with something new that we wanna try and it's safer in the tunnel then in the real thing. Read back on some of my post, its not so deatailed as D or Gimp. But its there. My DZ is in Zhills and my name is Pookie. Hey you, How have you been doing? Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My last jump was this past weekend and it was good. Every jump helps TK and I understand that much more of what I need to do. So, we are off to the wind tunnel with a sit fly suit a friend has loaned me.TK will more than likely be there with me, but I also have 2 Wind Tunnel instructors that teach there and they have been with me through this whole thing. That’s another good thing about having Team Dumb Ass, there are people that will go that extra mile for me, and I couldn’t ask for better Dumb Ass friends. So back to my flight. After getting under canopy it’s great, I do everything I need to do to get down safely. As far as the one thing that sticks in my mind and I must say “it's the greatest sound I have ever heard in this sport. And that sound is something that everyone waits for, but it may not have the same meaning to everyone as it do’s to me. It’s like a pause in life where chaos becomes so peaceful after deploying my hacky. The rustling of the lines and the shout as it unwinds it’s self out of a small bag located on my back ,It’s an indescribable feeling when I hear that sound, and that's something that you have to experience for yourself to understand what I mean. The free fall is where we are at. It’s ok, but it can be so much better and the safest place to work on it is in the tunnel. I still get out to get some air on the weekends and we try some new things but no big changes, just making sure I keep current. Stop Touching Me!!! Muff Brother# 4466

Ok, this past weekend we gained a new member on Team Dumb Ass. His name is Greg and he is an Ass Hole who is now a true Dumb Ass and my instructor. A little story, we had a ruff exit this past weekend but this also was our first dive together. And I will say this; All the training that TK "made" me take paid off. He teaches things that you should learn and always remember but hope you never have to use, and well, this weekend I had to use some. So, I also want to say thanks to TK who is a true Dumb Ass for the free needed classes that he gives a few times a year. The information he gives is FREE and if you feel that you already know these things and have no need to go, then you are a Smart Ass and will never be a part of Team Dumb Ass because safety first and you can 'NEVER LEARN ENOUGH". And to my new brother, welcome to the team you are a Dumb Ass and I am glade to have you aboard.
