Just curious, how about FreeZR? I wear glasses most of the time (can wear contacts, but not really like them) and have the same problem with my head size - 24,7"... Been recommended a full face helmet, but it seems like a big trouble to find one which is appropriate...

I've been told by the people at AAC (Appalachian Amuzement Center) L1 tunnel that it will gently bring you down if power grid failure. They did not show me how this will actually look like, but I have no reason not to trust them.

I've never been flying in enclosed WT, so you might be right, the walls around you makes you more comfortable and 4 minutes may be just enough to catch it. I was in open L1 tunnel in NC, and it is much more difficult, I guess, than closed ones. Much more control must be involved. So it's different. But as I already said - it won't hurt, it WILL HELP!

Did I said that 4 minutes will not do anything? I just said it's about nothing, just to get use to. You will just start to feel it and time is out, how sad it is. But of course, I agree with your statement, even 1 minute of real tunnel time worth more than 10 minutes watching it and it will be the best investment at the moment.

Agree with that... I made mine first 10 minutes in tunnel a day before my first ever jump (tandem). Than I 've got 20 more minutes in tunnel before AFF program. And AFF1 dive was not that overwhelming at all. In other words, you know what to expect. But too many jumps in short period of time can easily overload you, even with tunnel time, it's from my own experience, been there...

I think so... I really do. But I would say not "This Guy", I'd say "These Guys". Yes, past two weeks of my "self grounding" and "brain damage" suffering, really opened my eyes and explained "who is who".

I'm still learning these terms but by "kill line" I am assuming you mean the PC is cocked. Either way, if someone is packing your chute for you (you rented for example), how are you supposed to know if your brakes were stowed, if the PC was cocked and the slider was opened back up? You can't see these things once the rig has been fully packed. Just my little 3 cents. I am complete novice in this business, made just 6 jumps and an AFF student for right now, but I think there are at least two things you can easily check even if your rig is closed, brakes and PC cocked. Little hard for brakes though, but possible and just easy for PC kill line. Anybody, correct me if I am wrong! This is not a notation, this is just guess and my question. I am learning here.

Huh! Looks like Russian summer has finally come to Georgia... Was thinking about coming today and kicking a** (bug) from my head, but... Work situation isn't good and it is too f****g cold. Or it is not? Or it is just one more excuse?
