    Jumptown

I am a fairly new skydiver and I was in Boston for work so I visited the famous Jumptown this past weekend. (5/18/2008) And everyone was very friendly and welcoming. As far as I could tell, I was really the only visitor that day as the weather was supposed to be bad, but I got lucky. There were people there that have been part of world-class skydiving accomplishments and have been in the sport longer than I have been alive, but they were willing to put together a jump with someone like me with only 60 jumps. The Otter was fantastic and we didn't even have to sit on the floor. All in all...its a great place to jump. I would definitely recommend any skydiver that ever visits the Boston area to make it out there to make a few jumps.

    Skydive The Farm

If you're ever in the Atlanta area be sure not to miss a chance to jump at STF! The Otter is magnificent. I was a lone visiting jumper and I was welcomed quite well. Jackhammer showed me around and explained the landing patterns. Big Steve (S&TA) gave me some pointers and sounded extremely safety oriented and always ready to help. Hans, the DZO made it a point between the 5 million things he was doing to seek out the guys he did not recognize and introduce himself and make sure the visitors were very well taken care of. There were very many tandems the day I was there, but there was never any talk of bumping people, no matter what. Unless of course Sunman was doing a fun jump and they needed him to do video for one of the tandems. Sunman was very entertaining, but when it came to the jump he was very professional and organized the loading and exiting of jumpers. That yellow and blue is Great!! Oh, and Mike G at ChutingStar is one of a kind!! Can't wait to visit family in ATL again sometime very soon!
