  1. I talked to Fabian in DeLand and he said to email him fabian_home@hotmail.com or email juliana se at julianase@testdummies.com.br and they should be able to help you. The new designs of the helmet I saw at the WFFC in rantoul are Kick Ass even better than mine. I can send a pic of mine but have to take it first as i dont video myself............ John Maggio
  2. Cool I havent seen that helmet....the nice thing about RAWA is that you can get it with a FLAT TOP for flexibility for still mount or no box on side and mount the video camera on top! Where can I see the FF2 from Britian? John Maggio
  3. What amazes me is that there are camera helmet manufactures that are making boxes for "THEIR" helmets and after you mount it then you have to snag proof the damn thing. WOW! you pay $350 or so for it and still have to modify it to be safe! I suggest checking out RAWA helmets. they are made in Brazil and I have been jumping one since may 2001 & ~ 600 jumps and no problems AND NO TAPE to "fill up the cracks"...just say no to crack! You might contact DeLand dz in Fla. as to prices etc. An AWESOME well thought out product John Maggio
  4. If you want an excellent design take a look at RAWA freefly helmets. (check with DeLand in Fla.) they are made in brazil and i have jumped one since may 2001 ~600+ jumps on it with NO Strikes at all! My point is that it comes (when ordered with box mounted on the left side) allready attacehed and is such a clean design there is no need for gaffers tape to "seal up the gaps-cracks" like alot of the other designs I have seen people jumping. Main Canopy

I cut away at the Mardi Gras boogie feb 2001 and someone took it from the ground
  6. I have read allot of these reviews and once again allot of the problems people have are from packing errors not the canopy.I have approximately 1,100 total jumps on sabre 150's and sabre 135's and have experienced a handful of rather brisk openings and 2 of them were excruciating and kept me from jumping for the rest of the day. Again i can attribute these to packing errors. Of these 1100 jumps i have probably only packed 300 of them and none of my packjobs hurt me at all.i can only guess that the remaining 800 packjobs were done by up to 30 different packers with thousands to only hundreds of packjobs and with all those variables once again it is a packing issue more than a canopy issue. make sure the slider is at the stops all the way. quarter the slider and pull toward the front. stow the lines tightly. stuff the nose into the middle. i do not roll the nose at all/ and i think P.D. doesn't recomend rolling it either.(check with them/your packing manual. I love the performance of the sabre and it is still one of the best canopies on the market.fun/reliable/rugged

    Z1

i have been jumping the Z-1 helmet since march 1997(900+jumps)and i have not had the problems that i have read in some of these reviews posted here. I think part of the problem is some dont understand that the collar adjustment in the back is designed to set once and leave it. also i have seen the change they made to the opening/closing pin on the front for the visor and i think they should have kept the design they used for my helmet (metal pin) instead of the varios plastic designs since. as far as the glue-no problems. in regards to the shell itself mine as well as almost every helmet i have seen have cracks and that could be made better. But remember the helmet should absorb shocks and if it cracks and your head does'nt then it has done its job.
