I had some information on Bernie before, but can't seem to find what I put it under. I think I will give it another try. I have come up with things and talked to people that NO ONE else ever got to - so maybe I can get to Bernie. You see a dumb blonde is not threatening. He is a victim and I am a victim. I do really have some questions for Bernie - and these are questions NO ONE else would ever ask about his past. Thank You for finding the information. She's talking about a post you made identifying Tina's ex where you subsequently realized you erred and retracted. Who knows why that is relevant. This is important because there are individuals who claim to know ALL and yet, have not been where I have been regarding key individuals in the Cooper story. I have often "sat" on information that I didn't want to use or expose for reasons of my own and for the privacy of the other person. When the subject is broached in the thread I post some trivia about it pleading ignorance or need to know. The reason for making my post about the Tina "interview" was because of the statement you mentioned. "Those that are talking don't know and those that know aren't talking". The only reason I do NOT put everything I know out in this thread is to protect the privacy of other individuals. Even if Sluggo's post had been false or true - it was still an invasion of the privacy of key individuals. In his case it was pure trivia just to get a reaction since he redacted it. I understand the reluctance of the FBI not to re-interview the witnesses, but it has been rumored within the last yr - certain witnesses have been re-nterviewed. The lively hood and privacy of individuals is what you are over looking...but to come to a conclusion after 40 yrs...the FBI needs to do these interview if they have NOT already done so. The interviews need to be made by agents in the know and not a rookie on assignment. The witnesses have a right to view "all" photos of all given suspects and NOT just what the FBI wants them to see. The witnesses need to be Reminded of their depositions and view ALL composites to refresh their minds about what they may have been trying to describe with each different composite. Putting a bunch of pictures in front of the witnesses after almost 40 yrs if of little value unless a concerted effort is made to help the mind travel back in time to the date of the skyjacking and the interviews with the FBI and the artists. He took 2 yrs to do his investigation. I have been at it for 15 yrs, but I didn't have a party digging into Weber for the purpose of writing a book. Yea, I have gotten lots of help and lots of offers, but that is all they wanted - A Story. Usually after a few contacts you figure them out - the writer for profit versus someone who wants to help in anyway they can with NO strings attached. I have been very grateful to those individuals who took the time to help me with different tasks. When I would be contacted I would be very very leary...one person contacted me and this person's knowledge of my background was scary. Identity theft was the first thing I thought of - this person knew details about me NO one knew. Turns out this person had been given the assignment of HOAXING me. Two yrs of researching me and it couldn't be done...so this person decided to help me. The information provided to me has been among some of the most valuable I have received - this involved more "secrets" about the Weber family. This person even came to this site and read every site I ever posted on. The research into my background was intensive and extensive...unfortunately this person became ill and has not been able to offer anymore assistance in the last few months. Back to something productive: You and I were discussing the Vancouver money find of 1980. Did the Seattle agent for NORJAk resent Himmelsbach? The original case agent in Seattle did almost all of the ground work on NORJAK and Himmelsbach got the headlines of the case. Himmelsbach himself has stated to me he never met with or interviewed Tina Mucklow and this has been told to others also. I have often thought about this as sounding strange. Tina was living in WA not too far from the money find in 1979 (this comes from some research done by me way before 2000 and recently confirmed by others). Coordination between the various offices and personel may have been a primary reason why the case is still unsolved. Also most if not all of my information was given to Himmelsbach even though he was already retired. I felt when I spoke with him I was speaking to the FBI. I now realize that most of the information I provided to him in our many conversations may never have been relayed to the active FBI. This was a mistake on my part not to send mail regarding things I had found or been told and replying on someone else to be sure the FBI had this information. The lack of coordination between the various Field Offices of the FBI has previously been stated as the primary reason the DB Cooper case is still unsolved today. Do you believe this? I do NOW know that I should have taken the time to send the FBI any new information I may have relayed to Himmelsbach during those yrs. I should also have made sure that I communicated with the actual FBI the things I told JT. Stupid Old Women make Stupid mistakes - and they have been costly. The times I contacted the FBI I didn't think the message was going any further than the woman who was the mouthpiece or earpiece at that time (note this is referencing secretary like positions within the FBI who field the phone calls and is not an insult or complaint). A young man performing this duty recently claimed I made a complaint - it was NOT a complaint as I found the communication to the agent of record. Obviously the agent taking a prior phone call was insulted at being called a mouthpiece. Perhaps I should have used the wording duty desk agent. I have been told a polygraph this late in the game would be useless - and if the FBI had requested a polygraph during those first few yrs - I would gladly have done one before 2000 in my pre-computer days. That would have ensured my memory had NOT been contaminated by things I found on the internet. I am not saying I would not do one now - but, just not sure how one would work after 15 yrs of exploration on a subject. It has been my understanding it would not be valid. Yes, it is an obsession but not for the reason you think. It has to do with my integrity and what people think of me. I am not sure what you mean by the rest of my stories - unless you mean the things I have explored to unveil Duane's background. Somethings were "wild goose" chases and some ploys to smoke someone or something out. I can readily identify these. There were time when I was misled and followed trails that led me right back to the source....such as Knoss and JT. If by "the rest of the shit" means the things I have had to throw at the FBI and accusations of wrong doing - the answer is YES, that would stop. If there is something they missed that I have pointed out over and over...such as specific places or incidents I told them about - not sure I could resist rubbing that in a little. As far as the FBI is concerned the problem has been the mulitple chain of command during the last 40 yrs. I don't know if the gentleman I was dating is still alive - but, I talked to him about the things Duane said in the hospital. I had been told if one met a nice man they wanted to keep as a friend, but did NOT want to be romantically involved with to talk about the deceased spouse. I told him the story about the things Duane said in the hospital. He was the one who told me about D.B. Cooper, but until I found a book in the library I did NOT know the name Cooper gave was "Dan Cooper". That was May 24, 1996 the day after taking my Real Estate Exam. Which by the way I ACED with a 98. The results was so high I was held after the others had left - and asked to swear under oath I had not had access to the test question. The score was so high they took the liberty of checking the score card and had I Not have erased 2 incorrect answers I would have had a 100. This test was immediately changed and when I went back a couple of yrs ago - I was introduced as "the one responsible for your tests being so difficult". I mention this so that you and others can understand how my memory worked. Age has taken it's toll and most days I have to look at the Newpaper to know what day it is and it takes me forever to read a book I could have read in one sitting back in the day. Seems like Himmelsbach or someone went over the head of the Seattle case manager regarding Cooper in 1980. It is my understanding he read about the Money Find in the Seattle Times! Who actually had jurisdiction over the case - Seattle or Portland? The find was in Vancouver? Who exactly went to the media about the find and why was the Seattle office not made aware of the find before it hit the media? Since this was right before Himmelsbach retired - is this why? Does anyone know all the players and who came first and who was on second or third? This case has been screwed up since get go! Sluggo: Tom Kaye removed himself from the case. How many different types of pollen where found on the "original" evidence? Nothing of value was found during this sleuthing expedition other than 2 individuals who approached either the FBI or one of the crew asking about some "Books" that were never returned to their family member after the skyjacking. Blevins All you ever talk to is one of the "mouthpieces". My choice word for these individual who answer the phone when one calls the FBI. They have specific information they provide to individuals enquiring about DB and the suspects - it is read right off the computer screen and has NOT been updated for some time. All of those posts eons ago and you guys didn't even have the name correct, yet I was in possession of the divorce records with their birthdates and actual names - date of filing and date of divorce. I sat here reading the so called "interview" with the ex which didn't even have the name correct and did so with a smile on my face. My opinion Jo is that any FBI inaccuracies about Duane were errors not deliberate lies told to cover up the truth. The FBI really wants to solve Norjack. It would give them a perfect record on skyjackings. Ckrt would be a rock star if he was instrumental in IDing DBC. If you presented convincing unambiguous probative evidence that Duane was involved in Norjack you would get rapt FBI attention. They ignore you because you fail to do this, not because they are involved in some massive conspiracy to hide the truth. That's my opinion. 377 So what do I have to do to do that? Without their help I cannot confront the man who found the wallet I was unaware of until he found it in the van. If there was something else in that wallet such as some of the 20's I can't offer him amesty from prosecution. I have never discounted the possiblity there was cash in that wallet. He would not have known the signifcance of it any more than I knew the significance of the 20 dollar bill I found in the bank we called Symba. This was way before I knew who Dan Cooper was.,,and I didn't want to write a check so I opened the bank. It had all coins except for a well worn folded up 20 dollar bill - there was a name written on it in red ink. I don't tell this story because everyone would accuse me of making it up or call me a liar (something I have never been). I have told the FBI about the book, but I never get past the mouthpiece nor have I ever been able to talk to the agent of record. This mouthpiece said I had written his boss - but, I don't know who his boss is. I did send an email to the agent of record, but never knew if he really got it. I mailed him a package. My reference to "mouthpiece" is a man who takes the calls at the main FBI office in Seattle - it was NOT meant to be insulting and only my verbage to explain who he was. I have made the comment before about never getting past the mouthpiece (receptionist or secretary or what every he is - he told me he was an FBI agent), but he was not assigned to the case. So what is he? I don't know and that is why I called him the mouthpiece...I never knew if what I had to say was getting to the agent. Larry Carr has "NO" jurisdiction on the case at all and has to get permission to see the file. Tom Kaye is no where to be found. Evidently he was never able to find any relevance to the pollen that was found on the tie or the money (I don't remember which item they found this pollen on). Carr only requested the case because he intended to use it to make a name for himself. Carr is the one who brought Tom Kaye onboard - see how long that lasted! I spoke with Nuttall this morning. He had been told the same thing I was told about Jerry being banned from the Ariel Tavern. George and his partner got bamboozeled by Jerry just like I did. In the last 20 yrs advances regarding possible suspects have been hindered by Jerry's interactions and his proclaimed knowledge of the crime. His participation in this thread was evidence of what I have stated and his interactions with me from 1996 until the present are evidence of this. I can speak for no one else, but myself. Many of you here have been naysayers and some just talk, but only a few of us have put our money where our mouth was. Things I don't tell in this thread and have not been public with is the extensive research that has cost me and others a lot of money and a lot of time. Those of us who have proceeded cautiously - have now made a break through. Those who know do not go public with information that has been hard to come. I had information NO ONE else had for yrs and only recently used that information to my advantage without violating my personal code of ethics regarding keeping secrets. This meant giving up what I exclusively knew, but I knew I would not be around to finish the task that was thrust upon me in 1995. Therefore I do NOT think that what you presented was a HELL of a LOT better than anyone else. Also NOTE that I did not go public until I waited on the FBI to do its job for almost 5 yrs and probably would NOT have gone public if the FBI had NOT lied to me. Why did the FBI lie about Weber's past? Do you believe that FBI agents always tell the truth and they have no motives? Well The Bonanno Organized Crime Family has proven that one FBI agent was crooked. After 3 day on the stand in Brooklyn, Joseph Massion told about 25 yrs of murder, racketeering and other crimes. He testified a crooked FBI agent tipped off the the mob in the early 1980's that Massion and other were about to be rounded up. I am fed up with the FBI, JT and others - it is time to do something drastic. After I got back from the Dr.s today - I just went out to the woods along the golf course where I used to walk our Sheltie and cried, but I had done a lot of that on the way home. Then with my jewelry still on I helped the young man next door until 9:30 with a drain field he is putting in to keep his water off of me. We worked the last 2 hrs with flashlights - I wasn't doing any heavy work, just holding pipes and flashlights and moving the equipment every few feet. I am not sure what I would have done had he not been working on that and allowed me to assist him. I have tried to stay busy doing things that needed to be done . I have to go to Coure d'alene and that is going to be difficult...not unless some of you know someone in Coure d alene who is willing to sit in the courthouse files and the newpapr and public records dept for hours going thur files. There was a camp just North and East of Coure d alene and I need to know everything about that camp that was ever known. About the last Cooper post out here. Something is brewing! I can smell it all they way down here in the deep Ole South. The strange aroma might be coming out of N.Y., WA., CA., Alaska or Iowa. I do not usually check another email address I use - but, it is the one that Knoss used. After he left I got several emails from him and informed him the ONLY thing about his story I could ever verify was the part about Duane and his wife having been in MN. for a brief time...a statement I had made over and over to him in all the yrs I talked to him and a statement I posted on this thread. WELL, He left a doozy of an email on the 4th of April I did NOT read until today April 8th, 2011. He was sounding like someone else we know. I think NOW I have been called every name in the book (and some that are not), because I will NOT buy into "his" story or others stories I have heard. I had ALL of the paper work and emails to show exactly how his story evolved right down to the milk can which NEVER existed. I remembered the day "milk can" became a part of his story and only after I had told him about the farm and the barn...which I thought might have been a dairy farm. Now I am a bitch and he signed himself as Richard McCoy's friend. I do not understand why so many of the Cooper Chasers associated themselves with Richard McCoy. Everyone thinks I am delusional and I think some of the other chasers have some really serious problems big time. There is one thing I do know. I have NOT made-up any of the things I have told over these 15 yrs. The things I saw and held with my own eyes and the things Duane showed me and told me. I have tried NOT to BITE into the many stories I have been told about Duane other than those that I have been able to verify on my own or with a little help. The book writer only referred to 'Barflys' in reference to when they needed more people on the firelines (on the ground) and the forestry had no one to spare. His statement was NOT in reference to the jumpers (I hope no one took it that way). Most of these were well motivated and intelligent young men working on their education, but the writer mentions the exception - some were there only to make enough money to spend 3 months in Hawaii so evidently the pay rate for smokejumpers was pretty good. One of the survivors was a young man by the name of Walter Rumsey along with Sallee. Maclean found both of them in 1978 and was able to get them to go back to Mann Gulch with him. This is the current chapter I am on now. Haven't been feeling to good and I seem to fall asleep when ever I try to read lately. This is a compelling book - about Smokejumpers. I used to be able to read a book in 4 hours - now I suffer from AADS - just another word for Early Old Timers. Naahhh! Maclean has been my bed companion for a about 3 wks...but, I keep falling asleep. When I wake up the light is on and there lies Maclean right next to me. Oh, Well! So it's only a book! This picture was on the front of Young Men and Fire by Norman Maclean, but they do NOT ID the photos - when, where or who. Can anyone ID any of these guys? Could one of them be Sheridan. I do NOT believe that this is a picture of the jumpers who died in Mann Gulch, but just a picture of Smokejumpers. The back of the book states "Cover Photograph: A Smokejumper crew before practice jump, Missoula, Montana July 8, 1949. courtesy USDA Forest Service. I am going to contact the Smokejumper Magazine and see if they can ID these guys - there are lots of possible "Coopers" in this photo. NO, Weber is NOT one of them...but is Sheridan? Is this a photo of Sheridan? Maybe someone knows who this is ... Let me work something up here to illustrate what I will say. That is a chair attached to a bunch of Balloons. NOT one witness has ever claimed Cooper was balding - the shading on the composite represents a slanted forehead and not a receding hair line. I believe we had the man in the chair posted on this thread before. P.S. Georger: Maybe you need to redo the little girls ears with your new soft ware. Also redo Duane's ears and remember the photo you are using Weber has a prison hair cut - very close. Put sideburns on and fill out the hair line and you have a Cooper that is as close as anything else you can come up with. Have all the fun you want because it will soon come to an end. Strange you never made ONE comment about John (Duane's brother) and Tosaw knowing each other. Why is that? How large was Modesto in the 60's? How meny Clubs existed? How man Churches existed? The China jump - he was older and appears to have had a "lift". Yes, the eyebrows are raised when they do that depending on how much you have done. I had my lids done because they were droopy, but chose not to raise the eyebrows - as the surgeon wanted to do. I did this because of "field of vision". The younger picture does NOT show a strong chin like the older picture? The younger pictures seems to show a lighter colored eye - NOT dark piercing brown. That is my take on the photo comparisons. A very young Petersen is hard to compare with a 70 plus Peterson - and that was why I did NOT use the older pictures of Duane Weber. I could only have wished that Duane had looked that good when he was 70. Instead he was stooped and very fragil due to the kidney disease and completely white headed (but he still had a head full of hair). I will note in regards to the picture of Sheridan as a young man - the hair was definitely thinning. Surely Sheridan was bald by the time he was 70. Sheridan - let us know what you looked like in 1971! There was a site that showed a picture of Sheridan at the Jump place he was at in WA or OR. This was several yrs ago. Okey 377 - go looking for that one - it also did exist. There was a small plane in the picture. Are you trying to put me on about pipewelding jumpers? Regarding your PM - I only quoted Jerry Thomas. I wish you guys knew what was really going on right now outside of this forum. I would like to know if anyone knows what Sluggo meant on his site when he mentioned the ST. Pete papers - regarding Duane's arrest and conviction. I read nothing about a conviction in the 2 article I have. Since I am unable to down-load things from Sluggo's site - I can't see what is there - perhaps someone on this forum can help me out. I found NO conviction and no record of what happened to Duane after the arrest in St. Pete - the next thing I have is his being placed in Canon City, CO in El Paso County in 1960.
