I never viewed Weber as a hunk. As the yrs progressed and the kidney enlarged - his abdomen increased. Some of this was due to age, but most of it was the enlargement of this kidneys. His charm was how protective he was of me and my daughter. He had a mannerism I considered inappropriate, but after I made a comment about this - he quickly corrected the problem. When he was mad - he was a terror - and the expressions he made - let you know he meant business. So many times I saw this "Giddy" thing Cooper did on the plane when the money was delivered. Such as this photo taken in Seattle after he had disappeared that afternoon and we were rushing to get down to the banquet. Yet, he made time to do this ....see the picture. Try this picture I have NEVER made public - he was tired and not feeling well. I will have to check the date on this photo, but it was in the 80's. Ooops! All I have is the eyes. I will have to go into the scans to see what I did with the photo. I believe I didn't use it because of the angle of the picture and the style of the glasses making the nose look much larger than it really was. Wish there was someway to put the glasses I am enclosing on him in that pic....as the design of the glasses changes the nose appearance. The picture of the glasses was sent to me by the ex-wife. She was holding the glasses and claimed the picture was to show me what she looked like. She had sent other pictures of herself, but the one with the glasses was a very unflattering picture of her - the hair was over bleached fuzzy blonde. She focused on the glasses with this comment "We both had a pair of these glasses" I also noted in the same photo under the table was a briefcase...probably just co-incidental. This was with the photos she sent to me of him in the brown suit a yr before the crime. The one that shows what appears to be a tie tac similar to the Cooper item. I just thought it was flaw in the pic - but recently you know I revisited that photo and it looks like a tie tac - centered on the tie...which was wide per the photo. Question Georger. I asked you how you obtained the photo of Duane you posted. The rare smiling photo. If you have ALL the photos taken on THAT SAME DAY - WHY did you use that particular one? Why not these other taken on that SAME day. I can anwswer that one for you. The other photos look more like the composite - and I will now post 2 more made on that very same day. Did you notice that Weber seemed to have a scar in the forehead up near the hairline. A place where the little tuff of hair seemed to be in the Canon City frontal pic and in the 1970 picture of Duane in the Brown Suit and gold shirt and tie (I had "mistakenly" stated that photo was made in 1971, but recently learned it was made in the fall of 1970.) His wife of the days told me that when she went back to him in Feb of 1972 that he had a gash on his forehead and he was having trouble with his knee and his back. The picture you posted was made AFTER 1971. Oh and for your information and the information of others - the lips you are using are from the Crosby composite - try the Gazzara Composit Lips below. Beat it down all you want. The witnesses where adamate that the Crosby composite was NOT right. The FBI used the Crosby composite because they wanted to not because it was the one the witnesses chose. Then came the Ben Gazzara - neutral composite that is used today. What was has been left out in the FBI presentation is the most important - the OLD Rose composite....although it is an official FBI composite. I discount the composite done for the witnesses 10 yrs later by a TV artist. I know how these programs are done - they use what they want to use. yet this artist picked up the mouth better as did the old Rose composite. Nothing he did made all of the witnesses happy. Why don't you contact Doug Pasternac himself and ask him for his notes on the Rose interview and our ensueing conversation afterward when I stop him and told him what the expression was. (No way I could pick this out of the multiple things the artist could have been inferring to Doug). It is a moment I will never forget - with chills from my head to my feet (felt like I could not hold the weight of my own body up). I have a study that has been done - and it is very large and I will not put in on this forum (too large), but I will let a TV program use it and they have to use it in its entirety with the correct narrative. Blow up the neutral composite I refer to as the Gazzara and look at the shadowing of the forehead and then take your ass to a portrait artist and tell them to do a portrait of Duane Weber using all of the pictures - pictures you do not have. Do not include composites - watch out for what you will find. This will cost you around $1200. They have to have side views, old pictures with all expressions, everything that can be provided to them - watch what they come up with when they finish drawing Duane Weber without knowing he was Cooper or he was a Cooper subject. Doug has gone on to a new career and this was just one of many stories he has investigate and written - he may not remember all of it off the top of his head. I feel sure he kept his studies and notes and copies of his interviews, but will not be able to spin them off from memory. Since I met Doug in 1998, his family increased with the birth of 3 children - he has a very very busy life being a dad as well as working an important job with our government. You are ignoring Doug Pasternaks 2 hour interview with the artist who did the composites. The artist tried to portray the action with the mouth - but, NONE of the witnesses felt it was right - so they used the generic version. He tired to portray the SLANTING forehead. Depending on the angle one viewed Cooper at - the forehead was different. This is because of the SLANT of the forhead. Note the SHADING - enlarge the composites to full page size and STUDY them. If the FBI and others continue to ignore what the artist has tried his best to portray with the composites, this crime will never be solved. When a TV artist tried to do a composite later on - that artist tried to get what the stewardess was explaining...but missed by a boat load. She was talking about an irregularity in the hair line (small and somewhat like a widow peak), but NOT the composite they used in the TV program that has been compared to Ted. That composited definitely showed a receding hair line - so very very wrong. NO witness EVER said Cooper had a receding hair line. The only possiblity of anyone stating "receding hair line" would be if that person was much shorter than Cooper. Looking up at Weber or Cooper - the nose would appear smaller and forehead much higher. It is a matter of conception from point of view. I have explained before how I did that. I used a photo of Duane (his head was slghtly turned - he liked to be posed for photos and did NOT want me to make Straight on pictures). The composite was straight on. Yes the angulation of the avatar seems different and the face more narrow due to combining a straight on Composite with an head turned photo. Article - if you were in the picture it was behind the scenes, Gray was supposed to do the book but CHOSE - NOT to do so. He learned more about Christiansen AFTER he did the article and did NOT want to do the book on Christiansen. Makes you want to Cry? I thought it was gruesome - because you do know Weber claimed to have known Dorthy Killgallen and told me she did NOT kill herself. Supposedly she stayed in a place he worked at. When she was a guest she wanted her paper delivered to her door. She did NOT want them to leave it outside of the door, but to knock on the door and hand it to her. If my memory serves me right he was a doorman in this hotel, but I do not really know which one. It could have been one of 2 in CO or in New Orleans. How many other jobs Weber held in Hotels and their locations is unknown to me. He told me which Hotel, but time has taken its toll on some of my memory. I want to say it was the Broadmore or Bourbon New Orleans, but uncertainty leaves me to say "I don't know, anymore". So many individuals who have died strange deaths and all of them seemed to be linked to each other. Oswald was supposedly connected to Davie Ferrie. According to members of Duane's extended family he knew Davie Ferrie and they spent a couple of weeks in an apt. he owned when Weber was on the run from the FBI. I believe I had a problem making the yrs work on this story - but, then again time is robbing my memory. One of the individuals who told me this story was only 14 when they stayed in New Orleans. She also told me she knew Weber was Cooper and then within a few months she met the same fate as Dorthy Killgallen. Just more co-incidences! Or are they fabrications? Did this person tell me a lie? She had NO reason to lie. I did not know who Davie Ferrie was when she told me the story. I only learned who Ferrie was since this thread started. You see there are things I too do not talk about because they seem so far fetched NO ONE would ever believe them - but, most of this story I can prove. If anyone of you had walked in my shoes for the last 15 yrs and talked to the people I have talked to and been told the stories I have been told - you would either be running scared or fighting the system. I chose to stand up and fight . Why I have just told this story in its entirety. I did NOT solicit the story the girl told me. I did NOT make the facts fit....they just did. I do not know if she even realized the story she told me would eventually fit pieces of the puzzle together. Could you start trying, properly, so that you can see how ridiculous your demands are? Number one I had already contacted the FBI and others with Duane's confession in 1996 and told about the nightmare Duane had in 1978 when he screamed out "I left my prints on the Aft Stairs". Remember Duane told me the "aft stairs" was something from jail and I was shocked about the "jail" thing because we had only been married a few months. He explained he got in a little trouble with some guys and was in jail for awhile. I did NOT know he was talking about PRISON and was NOT aware it was more than a misdemeanor (as insurance agents we are licensed by the State and ex-cons cannot be Licensed). I never made a big deal out of it....because I thought he was referencing something he had done as a very very young man. Yet, in 1996 - on May 25 I found out the Aft Stairs was a stairway on the plane. This was ONE of the major things that caused me to believe what he had told me - it was when I picked up the phone and called the FBI that night in 1996. Cook had been talking to me for a long time and it would be a few yrs later when I learned his real name. He may have used the same name, but his story was insignificant to me untll he made the prints on the plane an issue with his suspect. I immediately was upset he had used such a similar story and with both incidences occuring around the same time. I also found it very difficult to believe this story about a Judge being the person Gossett spoke to about the print situation. Cook had many suspects before he decided on Gossett and I am not sure he is convinced that Gossett was Cooper. I think he got caught up in the hype, but if you will notice he has NOT been "bouncing" his Book "off the Wall". He is being patient and trying to weight things out. I can't speak for him, but I firmly believe he has an open mind about Who Cooper was and wasn't. Too many wannabe books out there with absolutely no substance. He seems like the kind of guy who will sit back and wait before he leaps. He made some leaps early on that damaged his image and I do NOT believe he wants anymore of that. He wants redemption and the truth just might be the only way to find that. I think he would rather write the book that solves the crime with intense investigative work...NO one has ever done a detailed book that actually addressed all of the witnesses then and now, No one has ever presented a "Cooper"book with slow and deliberate investigative knowledge. Most of them have been thrown together just to meet the demand of the public and hope their subject takes off. Do I believe Gossett was Cooper? No I do Not. Can I prove Gossett was NOT Cooper? No. Only the fact that the story was similar and this son called a TV program rather than going to the FBI. The fact that all of this was AFTER I had gone public in 2000 - is also suspect. Lot's of Cooper's crawled out of the wall after 2000 and yet it had been relative quiet for several yrs. Weber sure did stir-up the Hornet's Nest...and they have been swarming ever since. Cook could come-out with the book of all books - his book could be the one that tells it all and indepth. The pace of a turtle with its hard shell will survive till the end - but the rabbit has too many predators. He might be the fox who preys on the rabbit who beats the turtle. Geoffry Grays book is sure being timed well with the 40'th and Mueller's retirement. Is he going to drop a bomb shell? Duane Weber did NOT have a mole nor a scar in that location. Perhaps it was a pimple or a blotch on the paper or the picture. Take into consideration the thickness of the stems on those glasses and the fact that he had a prison hair cut in both pictures. Take the frontal picture of Canon City and blow it up to letter size and SEE what I am talking about - the thickness of the stems I have never seen on glasses before - they actually bring his ears down and make them appear pointy in the frontal shot. I will attach one for you but the quality they allow on the thread may not allow you to get what I got - but try. I can send a better one thru email - but you want to stay SECRET. So you are back on this hobbyhorse because you cannot find any proof. I bet that you cannot prove that my father was not Cooper, either. I bet you cannot prove Guru was not Cooper. I would bet there are probably a few hundred thousand people, at least, that you cannot prove are not Cooper. If this and conspiracy theories are all you have to fall back on, Jo, don't you think it's time you faced up to the truth? For yrs I have heard - Prove It! Put Duane Weber in a chute. Put him on the plane. Now I am going to ask ALL of you this one Question: Prove Duane Lorin Weber was NOT Cooper. Reverse things and see what you come up with. 1.You can't prove where he was on Nov. 24 1971. If someone claims he was with them - produce pictures or testimony from other family members who could have accurately accounted for Weber's - whereabouts 25 yrs after the fact? Duane Weber was NOT with his wife on Nov. 25 1971 and no member of that family has stated this. The 2 stepchildren who lived with Duane Weber and his wife told me they where in KS that Thanksgiving with relatives. 2. Prove he was never in a chute. 3. Prove the FBI had Cooper's DNA. 4. Verify Weber's background with records. Military, work, the penal system. The FBI has never been able to account for all of the yrs of Duane's Weber's life and that of his alias. They have access to SS records. 5. Find people from his past who knew him prior to 1971. 6. Talk to all living relative s(I did this and now all of them are dead). So on this part you will just have to take my word. All of the things you guys and the FBI has asked me to prove - you guys and the FBI prove to me Weber was Not Cooper...use facts and not some kind of fabricated story. Do an accurate detailed accounting of Weber's life as I have done - the FBI couldn't do it, but maybe you guys can. I have more than the FBI has, but not the power and the tools to get the verifications the way the FBI could have done in 1996 when I first contacted them. I am asking you guys to do what you have asked me to do. PROVE it. Then tally up what you have - you can't prove Weber was or was Not Cooper, yet he confessed to the crime when he removed himself from treatment and died 11 days later. It has been rumored that over 1000 men confessed to being Cooper. That ALONE is NOT true. The FBI has investigated more than that, but only 2 ever confessed to being Cooper. Weber and Coffelt. I am sure the Agent of record will tell you how many men have actually confessed to being Cooper on their death-bed. Your evidence proving this? I've worked with surgeons for many years. Never heard if this. 377 There were very few individuals who did this type of secret work and it has never been made public. These teams were very small and well selected. If they disclose anything about the secret missions they did - they loose their retirement and/or worse. Some of these guys disclosed some of their life to relatives on a need to know basis. Big mistake. They are dealt with severly and quickly. I will say no more about this. Maybe this was told to partner or family member to make themselves seem important. Most of the participants are elderly or ill or deceased. If they say too much they may spend the rest of their life confined or in a mental facility. When I heard the part about someone having to be in attendance when the subject was under anethesia - I thought the same thing that FarFlung thought - how? I also had never heard of this, but I believe both parties this information came from - but then right! Mikie (Jo) will believe anything someone tells her. Some of you guys give the impression you have some sort of secret Clearance with the FBI and have access to privileged information which I just do NOT believe. Exactly what was Tom Kaye's educational creditials? What degrees does he have and in what subjects and when and where did he obtain these degrees. If this man truely had something to offer that might help solve this crime he would already have publicized it. It would open doors for him never opened before. Sluggo is a good RECORD keeper or so I though... He did a good job categorizing the NORJAK file to the public but, it needs to be on a site that we can all read - even the dummies like me. Most people interested in this subject have some age on them. I STILL cannot open the pictures or the articles. So what is the secret to being able to use Sluggo's site? I guess it is all how someone words what they have to say. The use of technical language and "wise" remarks make one look and sound knowledgeable, but that is just a "tease" and not unlike the Tease you guys accuse me of being. I like Sluggo, but he closed his mind and some doors - doors that have been re-opened. For example - his opinion of the knife and the fragment within it. What if that fragment contained the very same pores or pollen removed from other samples? What if that thread matched the threads of the chute that was cut? Not picking on Sluggo. Just Saying. Doesn't Mueller retire in Sept? What does this case do for his reputation? NO explanation of why the FBI went to Colorado AFTER Duane was released from Jefferson and had gone back to working under the name of Duane Weber. NO explanation of why they did NOT continue to persue him in N.O., but then maybe they did - he was hiding in Plain site. Was Duane hiding in N.O. and AL or was he on assignment? - Keeping his part of the deal! Perhaps this little assignment in N.O. and AL brought harm to his family? Maybe he was playing with the BIG boys - dangerous ones? Who was he running to or from? What harm did this little assignment cause his family? The scars suffered forever altered the lives of innocents - and for those I shed tears and the thought renders my heart to the breaking point. When I think about the story I was told by not one but 2 surviors - the tears stream down my face...and I wish I could make it all go away. This is something I cannot talk about, but it may well have been Cooper's motive. You will never know if you don't know now! Weber had the motives and the causes and the experience to make the jump. It didn't take a Green Beret or a Smokejumper to make that jump. Someone with just enough knowledge and motive to do it. Survival was NOT important...he had to do it! Why is the picture of Clarence Anglin driving me NUTs or nuttier than I am? Is it because he was increditably handsome. Those eyes - I feel like I know those eyes. They are blue and I don't think this guy looks like Huran, Hurand, Horan, Horand. I just can't get that picture of Clarence out of my mind. I have sat and stared at it and keep trying to figure out who or what or why. Floyd or Lloyd. A man at a FL flea market. He was a little younger than Duane and his hair was white - but, those eyes...they are haunting - pehaps just hauntingly beautiful. Why would a guy who looked like that be a criminal - he could have been a movie star? One of Ed Huran (who ever he was) and the 2 Anglin brother, West the one who stayed behind and the brains. I can't get these pics to load. Can anyone compare the 2 brothers against this Ed Huran? Too late and my medication is kicking in. I myself along with Doug Pasternak found numbers for the name I was looking for Tina under yrs and yrs ago. All of this during the time the FBI was supposedly investigating...pre 1998. We found 2 numbers but neither of them panned out and Mr. Himmelsbach said she had never lived in those areas, but recently I have learned that one of those number may have been a contact number for her. The first one I called the people had been there for a while and the second one was a business of sorts, but now I know may have been connected to Tina. I did later make contact with her, but in an altogether different location. She moved out of the Gresham area right after the money find if the information was indeed her contact number. Himmelsbach denied any knowledge of this back many yrs ago and said he had never interviewed her. Strangely enough - Gresham was part of the area Duane talked about on our way to Tahoe. This haunted me then and still does. Himmelsbach and I had talked about this in 1998 and I have recently asked him about this only to get the same answer I got 13 yrs ago. "I never interviewed Tina" and denied any knowledge of her location in 1980. The records we found where 1979 and 1980. Recently others have found this same information with the search criterior we used. I believe Tina was in Gresham in 1980 when the money was found. In those early yrs of my search I decided it was just someone with the same initials and last name since the phone belonged to a business. Also Himmelsbach had denied her existence in the area. I just filed all of that away in my logs with all of the other stuff until recent knowledge someone else found the same thing we did...and was able to do even more indept research than I was capable of doing in 1998. I asked Mr. Himmelsbach if her home was broke into and if that was why she fled Gresham - but then again he denied her existence in the area and told me again he had never interviewed her. Later the ex-wife told me she worked for a credit card company in the same county and state Tina obtained her divorce while living with her sister. Again my mind went click click click and I was sure the ex and Duane had stayed intouch with each other...that was theory just from my conversations with her after Duane died and after I was able to locate her. It took me a long time to win her confidence after the FBI paid her a visit. When I remarried in 2002 I refused to give her my phone number and address, but did contact her on a regular basis. (She had been a heavy drinker and would call me at mid-night her time which was 2 AM my time and I was working back then) and my husband would never have tolerated the 2 AM phone calls. The last time I talked to her she begged me for my address as she had something to send me. Two months later I call and she had died 2 hours before...the nurse I got on the phone was the one with her when she died. It was Veterans Day. The trivial things I remember. Who wrote that post Georger - it does NOT sound anything like you? Harry used to live in Castle Rock, Colorado. Another similar name lives in MO. How many Harry's are there - too many? The small towns are the worse to snoop around in - like Biggs and Rufus and Hood River. The Dalles was no problem at all except I was there when they were preparing for Voting - certain places where closed. I just didn't mention Cooper most times. I was just looking for someone who might remember the Boy in the pictures and / or his family - not using any pics Cooper related or Duane as an older person. I had pictures of Cooper in the back part of the book along with pictures of Duane as an older person, but those were only used 2 or 3 times while I was in WA and OR. Goldendale was loaded with nice people, but no one who was able to relate much. Just wish I had made it to Spokane and Coure d' Alene and some even smaller places around there. I needed to get to Bend, OR but there was just too much to do and I was only good for about 5 hours a day. Ate a lot of meals at the Senior Centers as this was where it was easier to find seniors in groups of the right age category. I think it is a matter of privacy for a couple of them - who do NOT want to be contacted by anyone and that includes the media and the FBI. . I think the new FBI if they have not already spoke with the living witnesses should UPDATE the interviews if they have not already done so. No one is getting any younger. Hmmmmm that sounds amazingly like Florence's response when she ID'd suspects. Seriously find some pictures of these guys and the stories - sounds like a possibility. Right age and I haven't heard anything in the media about these guys in yrs. Let's get a picture up on the forum...curiosity killed the cat and solved a few crimes.
