Folks I am going to admit something tonight I have not admitted before. I have never read all of the transcripts because I am not smart enough to download them - ALL I have read is what others have repeated in this forum or placed in a medium I was able to access and read. I am unaware of the Seattle PI publishing these articles. If they were posted on this forum and I was able to download them - I read them, but right now I am having a Dumb Blonde moment. I read something that had the stewardesses notes in it and I remember some communications between the crew and the ground, but most of it got lost. Perhaps someone might be kind enough to put what Georger is stating in a format I can download and read. Maybe I mentally didn't want to read all of them - and I cannot give you an honest answer of why at this moment. I just know that most of what Georger stated seems foreign to me. I have only a few pages of the notes and didn't understand most of what I was reading...would someone please post a link I can understand. Perhaps I am having some residual effects of the drugs used during my surgery - or maybe I really have Dumb Blonde Syndrome. This was one of the first places Himmelsbach suggested I look. Issaqua and Sheridan...but whoever responded to me offered NO hope or useful information. Do consider I knew very little about the crime and nothing about Jumping or why it was even suggested I contact the Boeing Skydive Club. This same thing was suggested to me - that the Boeing Club may have been for that exact reason...to allow use of the Boeing without raising any questions as to why. Georger, I have NEVER presented Duane as having any expert experience - but that he had knowledge of those stairways and knew they could be lowered. My conversations with John confirmed that. I have recalled all I can of my conversations with John yrs and yrs ago. From 1996 to approx 1998 when his hearing became so bad - verbal communication became impossible. Take this for what it is worth - but, it is the truth. I communicated this knowledge to Himmelsbach as I always thought he relayed everything to the FBI - perhaps he did NOT. You can Believe it or Not. That is your choice! I have NO beef with you but do NOT put me in the same category as Blevins. NOT one time have I done this for my health or for money - ALL I want is the truth and for the FBI to PROVE Weber was NOT Cooper. The FBI wants me to prove Weber was Cooper and to put him on the plane - but they cannot do the reverse! I am sick of Blevins - Cooper DID NOT have Hazel Eyes! YOU JUST do not get it. I do NOT know John's and his Uncle's complete involvement with the Boeings. I do know it was a very sore subject for the family and alienated brother from brother and brother from Uncle. It is not just a "paint contract" - Duane's family was heavily involved in the developement some where along the line. Especially John - he was not a liason as you called it. The FBI should be able to tell you what he was- but they refuse to acknowledge the families involvement with similar aircraft from the mid 50's and until the 727 was put into production. The aspect of the lower stairway was DISCUSSED in the presence of Duane Weber prior to the 1st 727 being introduced. Prior planes where used in the same way during the war and when Boeing asked for a plane it could use in the smaller airports - the answer was the 727 using the technology used by others companies and in other plans on prior planes produced for the war effort or something else. This is all I remember of my discussion with John. John was embarrassed regarding Duane's "problems" - there was BAD blood between the brothers. John tried to become re-aquainted with Duane when he was released from San Quentin and while Duane was living with his mother - this was a disastrous event. Supposedly John took a baseball bat and threatened Duane ordering him to leave Mother Weber's home. Duane was a BAD boy, but he was NOT stupid nor illiterate as some of you have tried to portray him. He possessed the Weber creativitive, but without the formal education. John had a serious hearing problem during the yrs I tried to communicate with him - but, these are things he told me. I do NOT know what they mean - that is the JOB of the FBI. All I could do was TELL the FBI what I was told by JOHN and his sister and the ex-wife. The program that used about 5 727s in southeast Asia was not an Army program in the usual sense of the word. The Army may have had knowledge of the program, but it was run by those famous Other Government Organizations. And probably only a handful of people at Boeing were aware of the southeast Asia program and nothing you have written to date indicates a connection of any kind with John. Simply having been in the Army is not good enough. Millions of other people have also been in the Army. Robert Nicholson You are NOT listening to me. John was a creditiable person and well thought of in his field - I have NO way of tracing any of this but the FBI does and should have done so. Other family connections to Boeing also existed thru an Uncle in Chicago who had CONTRACTS with Boeing regarding the manufacture of the plane - the paint and finishes used on the actual 727's. You smart know it alls and the FBI and the Government should be able to research the background of Duane's family. John had NO children nor did Duane except for one he claimed which I have never been able to find. The family has basically died out. A sister had 3 boys (2 of who are deceased). The other had NOTHING to do with his uncles at all. John had a niece and is the only known living relative I am aware of, but she knowNOTHING about Duane or her uncles. A secretive family. John had NO children of his own. Duane's father and 2 Uncles - ALL are indidivuals the FBI is able to research - and their connections with airplanes, Boeing and Sherwin William's. Try Lyman Van Buren Weber in Chicago - oh and by the way Lym and his widow who remarried owned a home in Treasure Island, FL (St Petersbury, Fl.) The "CROOK" was NOT lieing when he said he knew the people on the typewritten list in his possession in 1957 when arrested in St. Pete. Individuals who helped design the Boeing 727 and it predecessors knew! I thought John referred to them as schematics....perhaps he meant something else. They were designed to provide access at smaller airports - DO you really believe the designers didn't know the stairway could be imployed in flight? Do you really believe the designers were NOT aware the plane was unable to take off with the steps down because of damage to the underside? Duane had access, but not ALL of the information he needed...so he made do. =================== That part is speculation but Duane Weber knew high ranking official within these circuits. AZ and TX and CO is where they were trained...he had too many connections with these individuals. One the last surviors (who I have PERSONALLY met) is seriously ill and I hope his memoirs will reveal a lot of what went on. He has NEVER discussed his involvment with the underword and the government, but it is a know fact. I was with Duane on 2 assignments but was unaware at that time of what was going on. One in 1981 and another in 1982 or 1983. After that Duane had NO contact with these people that I am aware of. ======================= . I am well aware this is what I have to do. You guys need to go back and read some of the things about the early 40's and aviation.. A group out of CA were the first to develope using chutes for the purpose of fighting fires. These guys needed plane part. That is about ALL you are going to get out of me, because I do NOT have the time to do what I am doing and repeat all the things that have been said in the past. I have much more important things on my mind right now. In the next few months if the FBI doesn't split out the truth - I have people who will be doing this for them. Whatever knowledge that Duane had of the commercial 727 is irrevelant. Cooper had specific knowledge about the stairway although he reportedly had trouble lowering it, but that can easily be explained. Only about 5 727s were used by CIA front organizations in southeast Asia. And Duane, with a police and prison records, would not have a security clearance or access to how these 727s had been modified or what they were being used for. How many time do I have to tell you people Duane had schematics to the 727 and it predecessors available to him thru his brother. When the 727 was unveiled - find out who all attended and the names of all of those involved. Why didn't the FBI check this out while John was alive - and they can still do it. His history as an aviation engineer is NOT a secret. He was a consultant for Boeing during the war. Haven't you ever read anything I ever wrote about Duane's family background? You are just like the FBI - you ignore what you want to ignore! Duane did NOT need security clearance if he was involved in something he did to buy his way out of prison Everyone knows Soldiers of Fortune didn't need nor obtain clearance if they were under the wire. I expect those who do NOT know need to find out what Duane's father did prior to moving to CA from OH and know who his friends where. Family friends who assisted Duane's father in his move to CA in 1943 participated in an unusual hobby. Parts for old airplanes often had to be made because of the war. If you have Duane's personal affects then you would have the proof. If he was a SM and was a Paratrooper there is a record of it. So prove your statement. I do not think you can, since I believe Duane was a two bit hood and crook, all the way to his death and conned you too. Matt Exposure to planes and knowledge of jumping can happen thru association - 1943 to 1949 - do you REALLY believe that everyone who learned to jump was in a school of some kind. What about private planes and some guys trying to makes some money and innovations. What if an Uncle or Grandparent or a Family friend has their own plane and was trained himself? What about the individuals out there trying to make a buck - this was the time of innovation and inventions? A young man who is helping the trained individuals gather up their chutes and whose family is associated with the owners of the planes. Don't any of you realize there were LOTS of young men shown how to jump - maybe on their Uncle or Fathers own farm. I have already explained how Duane knew about the 727's but NO one ever listened. Perhaps some of you along with the FBI needs to check into Duane's father and Uncle's background. Then I suggest you take it one more step forward - Duane did learn the basics during WW11 while in the service. He had the opportunity, the knowledge of the plane and enough skill to pull it off. It is all right there in the family history - but the FBI did NOT go there. They never checked out another relative of Duane's who WAS a jumper in the WAR and as the story goes used that knowledge for OTHER endeavors. Jon Krakauer also wrote "Into the Wild," which was made into a movie. Seems Mr. Blevins likes these best-selling "Into the..." books from famous Seattle authors. Mr Blevins needs to wake-up to the fact there is more to selling a book than the title. Is there such a thing as Title infringement? On June 18th - a collage of photos will be posted - and NONE of them are of Weber. Duane's birthday is June 18th and the pictures you will see are going to shock you - something NONE of you ever expected. You guys will actually be in more shock than I was when I received an item in the mail a couple of months ago. There was a book writen by a Seattle author called "Into Thin Air". Blevin's story is very similar to the segment about D.B. Cooper in the tv show "Numbers," where Cooper's money was found in the wall of a house. Wow. I find this post kind of offensive. Jo, you must be the only person in the US who thinks the FBI should rather have been wasting time on Cooper than trying to find a terrorist who killed thousands of people and was planning on killing more. No offense meant. Did NOT mean they should have been chasing Cooper after 9/11, but they had several good yrs when the leads were not cold and there were witnesses still alive, but they did NOT interview them properly and most they never even talked to. Perhaps they should have requested the sister and ex-wife to have taken lie detector test. Perhaps they should have interviewed the Step daughter without her mother around. Perhaps they should have gone where I have been. Even when the correct information was placed at their feet they didn't look. You and others are in for a shock. No I am not a book writer and I wanted the truth before I let anyone do anything. I have taken the only road I know and that is to stumble along blindly as I go. Many individuals have help me and many have used me, but in the end there is only ONE Cooper and he did NOT have hazel eyes or blue eyes. I have explored everything that has been put in front of me by everyone - even the far-fetched things. Problem was there was always a direction and a beam of light that I followed. For one thing I KNEW I was not delusional and he didn't lie to me. I knew what I saw and was told and what I remembered and there were NO false memories or planted memories. In October in WA and OR I learned many things - some of the things I didn't like - such as finding that JT actually caused me to loose ground when it was the most important between 1996 and 2001. I do NOT know his reason for the multiple deception he made in order to discredit me. It might interest you guys that others have learned about his deceptions not only regarding Weber, but other suspects. You will eventually learn that the truth can be so convoluted it is un-believable. This is what I have learned. Nothing is as it seems - nothing is as it was - secrets are no longer secrets - the truths prevail even in the face of deception and distortion. Everyone here has a suprise in store for them - I may not make it to see this through, but there are others who will. Not all is lost. Could you elaborate on the exact "action" that was made with his mouth? as well as the "slant" on the forehead? Why do you keep bringing up this moot point? especially if you cannot, or choose not to, discuss it. Vickie, I believe I have made myself clear on the confidentiality of this fact. Note some of those in this thread are NOT who they seem to be...and they like to play games. I am for real unfortunately and not a game player. But, I have learned one thing - to hold somethings close to my heart, yet there are those who would rather have me say things and then tear me down. This was not my finding and this finding did come from an interview with the artist who did the composites. There are those out there writing books and doing film scrips - should I incorporate this in a thread some would then claim it as their own. This same thing happened when I mentioned Duane's nightmare of 1978 when he was screaming bloody murder about leaving his prints on the Aft Stairs. Leaving prints on the Aft stairs then was incorporated into another writer's story. The major problem in this thread is separating game players from really interest participants. In a previous post to Georger I stated this: "So many times I saw this "Giddy" thing Cooper did on the plane when the money was delivered. Such as this photo taken in Seattle after he had disappeared that afternoon and we were rushing to get down to the banquet. Yet, he made time to do this ....see the picture. Remember this picture was in Seattle in Sept or Oct of 1979." I then pasted the Giddy photo showing Duane's teeth Then Georger replied with: "Well he was a good looking man, with a good looking wife - you! This was information NOT generally known. It was a STATEMENT made to the FBI artist and he relayed that information to an interviewer. This person was relating to me on the phone the interview with Rose - and when he started to say what Rose was trying to depict - I STOPPED him dead in his "words" before he could get them out and told him exactly what the artist TRIED to depict. We both had goose bumps - (me right down to my heels). NO one person could have described what the artist had been told in the interview by the witnesses without having known the person or having knowledge of priviledge information. Neither the interviewer nor myself expected this to come out in his interview. The interviewer did NOT know this particular (quirk) applied to Weber. The fact that I STOPPED him from telling me on the phone and told him what it was, was another of the deciding moments - to go forward with this "compulsion" or "obsession" many of you claim I have. I know - I just know and if that makes me crazy then so be it, but I know what I know and until someone proves me wrong it is what I believe. That does NOT make it so. This quirk had NOTHING to do with missing teeth or so I thought, but maybe it did! I do NOT understand Georger's reaction to the Giddy picture taken in the early fall of 1979 in Seattle. I have posted this before, but perhaps he didn't see it. Why would Duane's dental bridge be of significance, unless Cooper had missing teeth. Duane Weber NEVER let me see him without his bridge in place and it was a removable bridge, because I gave the FBI the white gold frame this bridge had been mounted on thinking it might have DNA on it - but it had been in cleaning solutions and it was white gold. Duane had to have the bridge replaced in early 1990 (I think), but he never told me why. I guess it got loose over the yrs and seems like the Dentist may have removed another tooth (perhaps one that was an anchor for the bridge). This was NOT a particial plate made of plastics. Today they do the particials, permanent bridges or implants. This makes me wonder whatever became of good dentistry using removeable bridges that fit so well you only had to take them out to clean them. Only since Georger got so excited about this picture did I realize that when Duane died he had a lot of gold in his mouth in the form of a removable bridge. I guess they removed it when they cremated him - or maybe it is in the cremains - yea, sure. I bet the crematorians love to find those things with the price of gold today. If Cooper had missing teeth would that change the outline of the lips, cause actions with the mouth or change the outline of the jaw and facial features? I don't remember Carr stating this " the FBI had the artist omit certain specific features off the sketches" - but, after almost 40 yrs WHY hold back anything if it will help someone ID Cooper. What specific "features" could they possibly omit in the sketch they would keep a secret after all of these yrs. Such as you mentioning a mole on Duane's cheek...if he had one - he had it removed before I met him. It was stated Cooper had NO tattoos. No mention was made of a watch or a ring or a chain or medallion or key ring or a good description of the knife. No comment was made about missing teeth and I have often wondered about this because I know that Weber had a bridge when I met him and that was done prior to my meeting him and he NEVER removed it except to clean it....I never saw him with out the bridge. I told the FBI about the bridge - in fact for DNA evidence I gave the frame to the old bridge to them - and they returned it. It had been clean and put in a pill bottle so I guess there was NO DNA on it. The FBI knew Duane had a bridge prior to my knowing him. He had the bridge redone, but I don't remember if it was because of the loss of another tooth or exactly why. Again - he kept the old bridge in his mouth. This must have been uncomfortable, but Duane never complained about pain or being sick. I know he had to have felt pain when he broke ribs, when he fractured his leg and when he was so sick that last yr - but, this man never complained about anything. He did NOT complain about the violent vomiting and diarrhea those last few months. He was NOT a complainer, yet he was bitter about things in his life and his face would get contorted at the mention of the wife prior to me. The thing with his mother and father he had accepted - the fact that he had been disinherited. Now I know why, but I never questioned him - I accepted only the parts of his past he wanted to share - we all have secrets. Duane had this stupid coin he always carried - had a woman on it and the size of quarter, but not a real quarter. A Heads or Tails coin. Just more trivia - I guess.
