  1. what type of material is commonly used for making the bridle for collapsible pilot chutes? thanks for the help. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  2. I ordered it in may and it was delivered in november. It was a very long wait but the suit came out looking quite well I thought. Sorry for the lack of in air photos. There aren't really any other wingsuit fliers at my dropzone so it can be hard for me to get in air pics. All I need now is a WW1 era pilots cap & goggles and a white scarf. Well that and someone to dogfight with of course. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  3. I had been waiting for this suit for a while. It came in on friday and was able to put some jumps on it. Flies great and is a lot of fun. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  4. I would like to aquire a POW MIA "banner" to fly under canopy. Looking for something that is 150 square feet or larger. I have no idea where to look for something like this that will be good to fly. Any advice at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to the masses in advance for any advice given. 5. It can be done. I made my first wingsuit jumps ~1 year into the sport with about 260 jumps under my belt. It's not very cheap. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.

  7. I met a wingsuiter the other night who told me that you can pitch while flying on your back, lean/arch back hard and you'll do a split s of sorts and end up flying your canopy the opposite direction you were flying your wingsuit. Has anyone done this? Is there any video? The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  8. any idea what the balloon slots will cost yet? The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  9. The topic says it all. I bought a cutaway handle at a dropzone(which I wont name just yet) that had some of the worst stitching I've ever seen on skydiving gear. I'm an industrial tailor for the Department of Defense and know i can fabricate a much better product, which I fully intend to do. Is this legal? Do I need a rigger's supervision? What are the legalities here? If it's not legal for me to make my own handles for my own personal use, how do I know that it was legal for joe crapstitcher to make my handle that I bought at a dropzone gearshop? Thanks for the advice. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  10. Could the base pouch be modified to be safe in a skydiving environment? Perhaps sewing some elastic into the pouch to help keep things snug. I haven't had a chance to look at one myself so I'm just thinking out loud here. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  11. Yay more laws. I feel safer already..... The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  12. The hardest part is taking the frigging thing off your rig. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  13. The very bottom cutaway loop got ripped out on my skyflier. It tore a bit of the body material as well. Is there anywhere in the US I can send it to and have this repaired? Thanks The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.

  16. I own a javelin, but I really like the soft cutaway handle with a thumb pocket that strong makes for the quasar 2. Would it be legal for me to get one of strong's cut to to the javelin length and use it on my javelin? Or is this a big no no? Thanks. 18. I am strictly talking about the birds ability to dive here. I can not see how the wings are anything other than air brakes in this situation. Even if the bird is using those wings to push against the air, they are still exposed and will create massive amounts of drag. I can not get the picture of a wingsuit pilot flying head down flapping his wings trying to go faster. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  19. Let us not forget about Casu marzu; Casu marzu (also called casu modde, casu cundhídu, or in Italian formaggio marcio) is a cheese found in Sardinia, Italy, notable for being riddled with live insect larvae. Casu marzu means "rotten cheese" in Sardinian and is known colloquially as maggot cheese. Now go out and give me your oppinion on THAT. 20. How can any physical body out-accelerate it's means of propulsion??? That sounds infeasible. Were they using the "Jump to Conclusions" thing from Office Space? The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
  21. Ok so I have my 200 in 18 months. I would really like to get some WS coaching this year still. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some training? I live on the Iowa/illinois border so someone in the midwest is prefered. Thanks. The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty.
