What's Your Minimum Exit Altitude?
llkenziell replied to Zeppo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
3,000 is not "low" compaired to alot of experianced jumpers here, but w. S/L learning thats what we jumped around... so I would be fine getting out and pulling around there. =) "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life- -
Why don't you try doing S/L progression instead of AFF? Its easier on the nerves... "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life-

I'm going to Puerto Vallarta this December (12/21-ish) and was researching DZ's there. I found "Skydive Puerto Vallarta" but their website isn't working right now... Has anyone jumped there? Also - I'm still on student status, so I'm guessing I probably won't even be allowed to jump. Does anyone know about that? Probability Risk of Skydiving vs. Driving a Car
llkenziell replied to Hazarrd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Do you think it would make a difference if one drove these miles in one solid time frame, or spaced it out? "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life- -

I'll have to agree with the hands on. Once you've watched someone pack 1-2 times, try it on your own with them watching and correcting you. Once you've got the hang of it and can do some good pack jobs, try helping other people who are learning out. You'll know that you've got a grasp on the concept when you can accuratly teach others. As for the DVD's... can't really help there, sorry! "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life-

No Chill Perception in Freefall
llkenziell replied to chrismgtis's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
All I know is that is freezing when the door opens, then I can't feel the cold until under canopy =P "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life- -
haha that sounds like fun. Don't know how much the DZ I jump at would appreciate it though.... "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life-

I can't concentrate on anything else...
llkenziell replied to Peej's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You know.. I'm kind of having the same feeling... considering I'm on here posting instead of doing homework and studying for 2+ tests next week... and only with 14 jumps so far, I'm guessing this isnt a temporary feeling. =) can't wait to jump again! "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life- -
Thats so frustrating that they're turning this whole ordeal into an issue with the reserve and canopy when it clearly stated that the just didn't open her main. I can understand if something occured because she deployed and the canopy messed up... but by going into this whole regulation thing just because she simply did not pull.... that's not a good thing to base this argument on. ahh im jealous! "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life-

How to learn to pack chutes . . .
llkenziell replied to MotherGoose's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm still a S/L student and the people at my DZ taught me how to pro-pack. Also we have packing classes I go to through the skydiving club im in. I'd say your best bet is to learn from an instuctor on off time if anyone will do it. And practice frequently b/w jump loads or bad weather. thanks! "Living like fallen angels who lost their halos" - Unknown Prophets -Love Life-
