  1. I thouhgt about that too... but the jump track program shows something called a digital signature and your able to put in details about the jump as well. Does the digital signature not count... the pro-track was on the plane and does have more reliable info about the jump than anyone else on the load.
  2. Since i have a pro track that i use to upload my jumps to a pc, do i still need to document my jumps in a log book to get future certifications?
  3. No...they won't let me jump with it, but after this weekend i'll hopefully finish the initial training and i can use my own gear or rent their's at $75 a day. I'd rather spend mony on my own gear for piece of mind and get a return on my investment when i sell it. Instead on weekends of rental money floating away.
  4. Thanks for all the info. Points taken: 1) it will cost me 75 per day to rent gear In, 20 days i could pay for the rig 2) Don't buy something that isn't right for me 3) Don't buy for the sake of buying With that in mind i plan on buying the Vector II
  5. yeah, i was thinking that too. The other one just seems great being new w/ extras.
  6. Thanks for your input its very helpfull. I'm deciding between that one and this one: one notable point is that the vector i could get for about 1300 and this one would be 1700 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_reply_write;parent_post_id=2422883 "Hey Well it is a Dolphin container all black with a custom white dolphin. the Main is a 9cell raider 220 with black and white pannels on one half and all black on the other. the reserve is a 7cell maverick 200 all red. it has a botom throw out hackey. I am 6'0" 235 and it fits good. also I had a friend try it on and it fit him as well he is 6'2"185. It also comes with a digital Altimeter, log book, matching gloves, and packing bands. I have never used it even once. It is BRAND NEW. Never finished my training and then moved away from my drop zone. any other questions let me know I will be elk hunting all weekend but will get back to you on monday" Which looks to be better a buy? Also, i planned on focusing mainly on free flying.
  7. Thanks I'll ask about that... one other thing what do you guys think its worth?
  8. true i should have put the height fact in there. I just cut a pasted what he gave me. Also, i would install an aad and rsl if i buy it.
  9. I'll be finishing aff in a week and looking to buy my own gear.I not really looking for advice on wingloading ratios, but really do need some advice on buying my first rig.
