If you study human behavior you will realize that the basic concepts of attraction still exist ... the reason is that it benefited (and in some cases still benefits) survival and replication. I could go into the details but it's easier with a beer standing around a bonfire ... PS: Our body, brains, and society have evolved allowing attraction to evolve. However, the basic concepts still exist ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Vatican: Birth control pill pollutes environment

Because your religion is all about thinking ... Did you ever notice that your Bible is littered with metaphors about shepherds and sheep? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
Boys are smelly.. you have to throw rocks at them to get them properly attracted. http://www.davidandgoliathtees.com/games/boygame5.swf That's a much better idea than doing nothing and hoping the boy does something ...

Actually, the author is probably not attractive (strike one), has nothing going for him (strike two), and would rather blame women than improve himself (strike three) ... he's out. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

A portion of that makes sense from an anthropologic point of view. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

If you're going to experiment then make sure you read Birdmen, Batmen, and Skyflyers: Wingsuits and the Pioneers Who Flew in Them, Fell in Them, and Perfected Them so that you don't make some of the same (fatal) mistakes most of them made ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I'm thinking about taking a weekend trip to Florida (January 16-18) and I'm wondering if I should go to Z-Hills or Sebastian? I'm looking to do some tracking and wingsuiting ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Things That Just Have Me Scratching My Head Saying, "WTF"
Butters replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
We had to choose between bad and worse and it looks like we chose worse ... not surprising considering we chose Jesse Ventura before. PS: Although it honestly isn't clear what we chose given the fiasco that is playing out. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
And to everyone more experienced that writes about his or her experiences and view..do think about the people lurking here for advice when you write or post something... I anyone was injured or worse because he/she got into this way before they where ready. And did so (lying about jumpnumbers or whatever is needed) based on advice he or she read online from other people that ignored the general recomenditions and started early...than the fingers a lot of people are pointing at the actual person instructing for just or completely onjust reasons, should be focussed on ourselves, and the image we (as a community) seem to put out both online and in real life. Did I ignore the general recommendations? Yes. However, I'm content with the image I put forth. Act like an adult and prepare, prepare, prepare ... PS: I've never given anyone advice to lie about numbers or whatever is needed. I've given advice to learn to track and learn about the gear (long before they begin wingsuiting). Anyone else like hop n pops?
Butters replied to TerminatorSRT4's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I like getting out at 3,500 feet in my wingsuit, flying for approximately twenty seconds, then popping. Edit: Yes, I know that's not a Hop&Pop but I don't like to waste altitude ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
I believe so since I believe that deploying in a steep full flight is similar to deploying head down ... Edit: Which is also why I don't think we should go head down to get enough drag to remove the pilot chute from the burble. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Disagree - airplanes don't have to touch wingtips in order to be considered "in formation". We're not airplanes, we're skydivers ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I think that anything requiring a computer and or algorithm to determine whether or not it is a complete formation is going to be laughed at ... after all, all the other disciplines require docking. We need more time for more individuals to develop their skills. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Whatever, I don't want to worship a God that would send good people to a bad place because of trivial things ... if that means I'm going to a bad place, so be it. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

That's what I'm talking about ... One of my favorite jumps was a tracking jump swooping some clouds (I felt like I was in a wingsuit). "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

How many jumps did u have when u did your first wingsuit jump?
Butters replied to mrbiceps's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Agreed, I starting doing nothing but tracking around jump 50 ... practicing belly, back, flat, steep, following, leading, front loops, back loops, barrel rolls, etc... along with practicing heading awareness and the wingsuit deployment sequence. I also think the tracking really helped. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
