Butters replied to The111's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Purple Mike making the rounds ... cool. Using wingsuits to advertise scooters ... lame. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
Yes, because drawing a strict line will definitely stop someone bringing in something dangerous ... Grab a slide and take a ride down the slipper slope. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

You know you like it! I threw up a little in my mouth. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

My previous Vampire 3 has nothing on my Stealth 2 ... I should have added I have a modified V3 I'm sure it won't compete with Stealth for time, but I wouldn't trade my V3.x for the extra fabric of Stealth/Venom/XBird etc I have a modified Stealth 2. Oh bejesus And I thought my V3 had oversized tail Special request to Robi? What can I say ... I have a need for speed. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I believe stating a 66% increase is a lot more sensational than stating a rise from 3% to 5% ... but it's more accurate than to say "taxes went up 2%," the measured understatement. If my taxes went from $1500 to $2500, I'd want to know what branch of mathmatics says that is a 2% OR a 3-5% increase. 1] You make $50,000 a year and your taxes increased by 66%, how much more do you owe per year? 2] You make $50,000 a year and your taxes increased 2%, from 3% to 5%, how much more do you owe per year? Editing my prior post because I worded it poorly. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Citing relevant cases is still acceptable in courts of justice, counselor. Heller is relevant to the scope of the rights we are discussing, and Scalia did write the opinion. Keeping and bearing arms is still a right in the United States of America, professor. Read Heller and learn something. You already made this comment. Do you not remember my response? Read the United States Constitution ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I believe stating a 66% increase is a lot more sensational than stating a rise from 3% to 5% ... Read the article See what the business increases are I read it and believe that the media (and you) are focusing on 66% because it is more sensational than 2% ... As far as the business increases, they're less than the personal increases. I feel this paragraph is more important because other countries have shown and or are showing the problems with raising taxes to pay rising pension and health care costs while cutting other areas of the government ... Violence is not the answer. The way to "fight back" against government is non-violent non-cooperation. Violence undermines righteousness. Besides, the government has you hopelessly out gunned anyway, and would crush any violent (popular or not) opposition. You are mistaking the military with the government. They are separate entities, and most military personnel have privately owned firearms as well. Do you believe that the military will sit idly by during an attempt to overthrow the government? There were 13,636 murder victims in 2009. If we're going to go down the slippery slope then let's focus on the plank before we focus on the splinter ... PS: Do you have a problem with the way I handle problems? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Ah ... yet another personal attack... have you had ANYTHING to add in this thread or others... or do you just instantly see any post by me, crawl out from under the bridge and go into tiny whiney BUTTers mode and become incapable of sticking to the subject of ANY thread I'm just trying to do my civic duty according to some posters by identifying and reporting behavior that appears to be anti-social, paranoid, violent, etc...
