  1. Given your tracking claims all you need is your RW suit for those 80mph flocks, a small wingsuit for those 60mph flocks, and your large wingsuit for those 40mph flocks ... I didn't give Lurch advice on how to fly. I did applaud him for choosing to change wingsuits to a more appropriate (smaller) wingsuit based on the performance of the formation he was flying in ... 2. I would be willing to agree that weight has it's place so long as it's place is after appropriate wingsuit choice (and skill). Although I do believe that if the appropriate wingsuit choice (and skill) is made that weight is likely unneeded. PS: As far as bent legs (45' or greater) ... downsize your wingsuit. 3. I came across your video, noticed the student didn't wave off, and was using it as an example. I understand that not all students do what they're supposed to do (the video was to show this). It appears you fall into the category that FFC students should wave off. However, it appears that others in this thread fall into the other category ... I want to understand their reason(s). 4. You beat me to it. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  5. +1. Anyone who thinks teaching to wave off is not needed during a FFC shouldn't be teaching a FFC to anyone. It boggles my mind that this was even a question. I stand corrected though....there is such a thing as a dumb question. I asked the question because I came across some videos and I wanted to find out the reason(s) why some people don't believe FFC students should wave off. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  6. I don't believe the way forward is wearing large wingsuits and lead. Maybe for the "weekend warrior" but not for the "challenges" and "records" ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  7. Are people doing relative work in camera suits? No. As Kallend pointed out in another thread, the greater the weight, the greater the disturbance to the air ... if you're trying to fly in close proximity to other people it's probably best to minimize disturbance. OK, so fat bastards shouldn't skydive. Fine with me. Blah, blah, blah ... I didn't say that. I said it's probably best to minimize disturbance. Hence, it's probably best not to add weight. PS: I understand your "strong" point is physics, not English. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  8. There could be a small difference between pull altitude, couldn't be? Why does pull altitude matter? In both cases you're flying in the deployment cone when someone could deploy ... I don't care about altitude, I would be more concerned about a student than a planned two way (with wave off). "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  9. Are people doing relative work in camera suits? No. As Kallend pointed out in another thread, the greater the weight, the greater the disturbance to the air ... if you're trying to fly in close proximity to other people it's probably best to minimize disturbance. 10. I wear between 0 and 15 pounds of lead depending on who I'm jumping with and what the event involves. Just makes life easier. Wearing lead while also wearing a larger wingsuit (S-Bird) instead of a smaller wingsuit (R-Bird or T-Bird) ... How many people do you know doing relative work in balloon suits with lead? I think it FAR more cost effective to have a $50 weight belt than several $1000+ wingsuits of different sizes. Spend YOUR money any way you wish. I didn't mention anything about cost effective, I mentioned what is considered common practice in other disciplines. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  11. Don't mind if I do. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  12. Nope, he's mentioned wearing lead while wingsuiting previously. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  13. ... wave off? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  14. 15. Everyday the new boss seems more like the old boss ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  16. The "comfortable" range of an individual in a small wingsuit is going to be different than the same individual in a large wingsuit. The "comfortable" range of two individuals in the same wingsuit is going to be different. Thus, if you want to flock in the "comfortable" range than wingsuit choice matters. PS: Every other discipline understands this and chooses their suits (and additional weight) based on this. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  17. There in lies the difference between the target lists. With one they can plan a raid with the _primary_ purpose of killing you while with the other the _primary_ purpose has to be of capturing you. Now that we've settled that ... how do you feel about a government panel that can place you on a target list that gives the government the authority to kill you without releasing any information at any time? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  18. Yes. Do you believe that being on the target list of the DA gives law enforcement the authority to plan a raid with the sole purpose of killing you and then not release any information? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  19. You really don't see a difference do you. It's amazing how some people will twist and turn what they claim is right and wrong depending on which side of the fence they're standing on when it's happening ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  20. The possible answers were yes and no. I'll make it easier. Do you believe a target list exists? If you do, do you believe a panel that places individuals on the target list exists? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  21. Are you saying the (kill, death, etc...) panel isn't real? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  23. All the people that were very vocal about Bush appear to be very quiet about Obama ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
