And more PA's and Conspiracy Theories help the discussion ... Edit: Why compare America only to Nazi Germany? Are you attempting to do what Christianity did to the Pagans? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

"Discussion of the crackdown on the 1989 pro-democracy movement is still taboo in China outside of the semiautonomous regions of Hong Kong and Macau, meaning many of China’s younger generation are ignorant of the event." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12480406/ Edit: Yes, I know it really happened. The point is that young Americans know it happened but young Chinese don't know it happened. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I agree that the ability to tamper with elections is not good for democracy. However, how does this relate to the comparison between America and Nazi Germany? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Many leaders have done things in the name of God ... this means very little in comparing America to Nazi Germany. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I agree, we need to learn from history. Lesson, not everything from Nazi Germany was bad. Lesson, America has several similarities to Nazi Germany. Lesson, America has several differences to Nazi Germany. Lesson, there exist countries with more similarities and less differences to Nazi Germany than America. Lesson, ... "That looks dangerous." They based the logo on the date 2012 and believe it will still be relevant in five years ... and don't get me started on people using descriptions like modern, bold, flexible, works across new platforms, and reaches young people. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I will not shop at places with bad customer service, bad advertising, etc... People don't talk, money talks! PS: The problem is there are to many people that will continue to shop at places with bad customer service, bad advertising, etc... because they don't want to take the time to go somewhere else or they don't want to live without something (that is usually a want and not a need). Although I know of at least one person with more metal in his skull than I listened when I was a teenager, I reckon Piisfish knows that head injury is bad juju. I think his question was more about wearing a helmet versus wearing full body "armor". Legitimate question I would think, as long as it remains non-judgemental. I was giving a reason why people tend to wear helmets w/out wearing body armor (the consequences of breaking your brain is usually worse than breaking a bone and wearing a helmet to protect your brain is usually easier than wearing body armor to protect your bones). your thoughts on the main story on front page?
Butters replied to caspar's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think I understand ... a person will accept an initial level of risk and when the person is capable of lowering the initial level of risk they will add other risks to maintain the initial level of risk because that level of risk is a reward in itself for the person (and the initial level of risk is determined by a specific gene). Butters replied to caspar's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Totally agree. A problem with the article is that it doesn't take into account human intelligence and the ability to use logic and reason to analyze and manage risks and determine risks verse rewards. I am not a daredevil, I am a person who accepts risks to obtain a greater reward. Or maybe I'm just crazy ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -
