They have to live somewhere. NIMBY is a weak argument, no matter what the issue. Short of locking them for the rest of their lives (that doesn't seem fair to the families of murder victims), they have to live somewhere. For the record, I didn't vote because of the shitty choice in poll options. The poll is clearly a leading question. "Have you stopped abusing your kids, yet?" _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

grommits behind the 3 rings should touch?
AndyMan replied to noahgordon's topic in Safety and Training
I think what he's trying to say is that the cotton loop in the 3 ring assembly is longer than in the other rigs he's used, and the gromet at the end of the cuttaway housing sits off to the side of the riser when not under load, which would be normal. Not sure, though. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. -

I'm more interested in the lack of the RSL. Do you have your "A" license? _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. -

For the record, I'd be more than happy to join him on that list. As far as I'm concerned, a vigilante is worse than the person he's chasing. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. -
FYI - Craichead went through shoudler surgury last fall. One of the questions I had for her Orthopaedic surgeon was related to braces. He dismissed them as innefective, and recomended against using one. YMMV, _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

You certainly CAN use the 4 frame burst, but you simply need to understand that there's a brief recovery period after each burst. That recovery can be as brief as one second before you take the 5th shot. There certainly are better and faster cameras available, but obviously they cost more. I haven't had any issues shooting within the confines of the 300D. Personally, if I was buying now I'd probably pick up the 350D. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Because it's stated on a prominent sign as you walk into the exhibit, and nobody has made any serious accusations to the contrary, with the exception of the fetuses. Obviously they didn't give permission, but their mothers did. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Let's end that rumor quickly. That is not the case. Every body used in the exhibit was donated explicitly for that purpose. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Generally, there is no delay between hitting the shutter release and the camera taking the photo. There is only a delay if you've filled the buffer, and this thread will give you a good explanation of how that works. Generally I shoot as fast as my tongue can, whenever I see something I want. You do need to be aware of how the buffer works, though. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I use the Digital Rebel for tandems, and am happy with the frame rate. I could buy something more expensive, but that will not result in me earning more money. Return On Investment (ROI) is key. The frame rate is faster than what I use for film, so the customer is happy, too. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I'm reminded of the old GI-Joe cartoons, where there was a surface to air laser mounted in the top of the lincoln memorial... _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I regularly put a 190 in my J3. Occaisionally I'd use a shoe-horn to fit a 210. A 230 seems unreasonable. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

If you don't need the camera now, don't buy it. The market is always changing, the manufacturers are always releasing new products at ever decreasing costs. Buy the camera when you need it. You'll get a better deal. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

How old should your child be before they can go to spring break in Mexico
AndyMan replied to Bouda's topic in The Bonfire
I wouldn't let them go until they're old enough to have legally gone binge drinking locally. If you're American, that means 21. In Canada, that means 18/19. EVERYONE will go binge drinking at some point. I wouldn't want my kids doing that for the first time in Mexico on Spring break. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. -
Also, if you buy new construction you don't need an agent on either side. Total closing costs on our condo were about two percent. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
-
I used YOUR numbers. You already accounted for cost. Your example, of selling at $305,304 - is an annual gain of just over 4%. The national average is 10%, and hot markets are %30. Moreover, you don't pay capital gains on your primary residence. You do on any other investment. Also, interest on the mortgage is tax deductable. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
-
Well, that's the thing. 305,304 - 250,000 = 55,304 55304/250000*100 = 22.1216 So you'd need a market rise of %22 over 5 years to sell at $305,304. That's easy. Real Estate has been increasing on average %10 / year for the last decade. If history is any indicator (and it usually is), %10 over 5 years would give you $402,628 Hot markets, like California, Florida, and the Boston/New York Corridor are seeing %30 per year. Using 20% (conservative for New York), if you sold after 5 years you'd end up with $622,080 Now I'll grant that it'll be dificult for the market to continue increasing by %30/ year for long, but it will certainly outbeat the Dow for the conceivable future. You can also stack the odds in your favor by buying New Construction. You usually get up to a %20 discount by buying pre-construction. We did that with our condo, and our property values went up %10 the day we closed. Unless you live in an area where property values are declining, or stagnating - buying real estate is a very good investment. More importantly, though - you end up paying your own mortgage, not somebody elses. In these "hot markets", it's especially important, because if you're not paying your own mortgage, you're renting from someone paying his. In this case, it's even wiser to be paying your own, instead of someone elses. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I'm sure it depends on the fabric of the coat. Some fabrics conduct electricity, some don't. I have no doubt that my rubber "firemans' raincoat will not. Leather probably would. Synthetic fibres probably would not. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
-
I'd love to see those numbers. The fact is that Americans generally have done very well through home ownership. In almost all cases, it beat renting significantly. If you've done better by renting, it's only because of the specifics of the area that you live. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I'm confused. Why is N20EA registered to a Fixed Wing Single-Engine in North Carolina, and formerly two Bell choppers but no DHC-6? http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/NNumSQL.asp?NNumbertxt=20EA+&cmndfind.x=0&cmndfind.y=0 _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
